Actress Mischa Barton shows she's still one of the hottest young stars around as she strips down to her underwear in scenes from her latest movie.The former O.C star looks happy and relaxed in the scenes from the upcoming movie The Homecoming, which was filmed before her well-documented breakdown.

Posing seductively on a bed in a copper lingerie set and grey dressing gown, the star performs a brief striptease in the straight to DVD thriller.Mischa has been looking better than ever in recent weeks and appears to have bounced back since she was sectioned following a rumoured drug and alcohol binge three months ago.

The 23-year-old returned to the set of her new television show The Beautiful Life just days after being released from a psychiatric ward in a Los Angeles clinic.She admitted that she was happy to throw herself back into work during an appearance on MTV’s It’s On With Alexa Chung

‘I’m just so happy at work. I love my job. We’re having a lot of fun filming, and the stress of the summer is over, which is nice,' she said.Mischa, who is currently starring in new television show The Beautiful life says that that she is looking forward to leaving behind Marissa Cooper, the character she played in The O.C.‘I like playing a character that’s a lot closer to my personality. But her sheer T-shirt revealed a distinct lack of undergarment, and left very little to the imagination.Mischa plays a drug addict model in the show, and yesterday filmed scenes where she looked back to her glamorous best.The OC star was all smiles and looked much healthier than she did a few weeks ago when she appeared bloated at the launch of Harrods summer sale.

But although she Mischa appears to be back to a clean bill of health, friends of the star, who has been seen this week filming scenes for the show created by actor Ashton Kutcher, have ­accused her of not taking her rehabilitation seriously.Kutcher and his wife Demi Moore visited leading lady Mischa on set. The couple then headed off for lunch together at a Manhattan restaurant where they were in good spirits.

Last month Mischa was placed under ­involuntary psychiatric care at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles. But days after her release she was seen partying in New York.A source told Heat magazine: 'The fact she was out right away proves she’s not taking things seriously enough. It was like a big ‘f*** you’. She’s too proud and ­independent sometimes.'

Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Gala 2008

The annual gala for the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Gala for the opening of the exhibition “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” took place Monday night. It was a star studded even with a range of celebrities including Julia Roberts, Anna Wintour, George Clooney, Sarah Larson, Mischa Barton, Gisele Bundchen, TomKat, Eva Longoria minus hubby Tony Parker. Jennifer Lopez was all glammed up looking fabulous just two months after giving birth!

The gowns were amazing. Some celebrities rocked amazing, unique styles, while others, like Sarah Michelle Gellar played it safe in a simple black gown. Anan Wintour wore a one of a kind Chanel gown and Diane Kruger rocked it in a silver cocktail dress with pink Christian Louboutins.

Mischa Anne Marsden Barton is an award-winning actress perhaps best known for her role as Marissa Cooper in the American television series The O.C..Barton began acting at the age of nine, co-starring in the Off Broadway premiere of Slavs!, written by Tony Kushner. She appeared in several other Off Broadway productions, taking a lead role in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams at Lincoln Center. Other television appearances include an episode of the FOX series Fastlane, James Blunt's music video "Goodbye My Lover", and Enrique Iglesias' music video Addicted. In August 2003, FOX premiered the television series The O.C., which became an overnight success. It put Barton on the map as Marissa Cooper until her departure from the show in the third-season finale in May of 2006. In July 2006, Barton appeared on The Friday Night Project as the guest host. The O.C. dropped in ratings dramatically during its third and fourth seasons, and ended in early 2007.

Barton has modeled for companies such as Calvin Klein, bebe stores, Aéropostale, Monsoon Accessorize, Dooney & Bourke, JC (Jeans and Clothes), Morgan de Toi, Jaspal, and Neutrogena skincare products. She has more recently become the spokesperson for Keds Sneakers, substantially increasing sales.In Australia, she appears in commercials for teen magazine Famous and was the guest of honor at retail giant David Jones Tahitian Summer Collection launch.
