Renowned for her outspokenness and revealing outfits, Lily Allen is the last person you'd describe as shy.But the Smile singer insists that despite her feisty bravado, she is actually quite modest and fears she will be forgotten about.In an interview accompanying a striking photoshoot with the October issue of Elle magazine, Lily reveals she's not as confident as people think.

In the shoot, the 24-year-old appears to be channelling the spirit of Sixties character Barbarella as she shows off her slender figure in a revealing silver and lacy top and platinum wig.Another photo shows the singer giving a nod to her youthful side as she sucks her thumb, giving a sultry look at the camera.

Despite being famous for three years, Lily admits she still isn't used to fame and gets flustered when fans approach her for an autograph or photo.She tells the magazine: 'I get quite shy and embarrassed, actually.Yes, I think I am [shy], actually. I get embarrassed when people come up and ask for autographs.'I think people expect you to have a certain sense of decorum, but I almost find it like being a nursery teacher, having to be nice to people all the time. I haven’t got a problem with that, but I think people expect you to know how to deal with s**t.

Lily Allen's Sexy Photo-Shoot for Chanel

She's rarely seen out without one of her coveted collection of Chanel handbags.So perhaps it is no surprise that when Lily Allen branched out into modelling she chose the label.Newly released photos from an upcoming campaign show her cuddling bags from the Chanel Coco Cocoon range in undisguised delight.

The photos were taken by Chanel designer Karl Lagerfield himself and show a playful Lily, unashamedly acting up for the camera.In other shots the 24-year-old wears a huge tiara and black catsuit as she pulls her sunglasses off her nose.Over the years Lily's weight has fluctuated, but in the photos appears to be her most toned to date.

Perhaps her slimmer frame is due to her preparations for the advertising campaign.Recently she revealed: 'I don't feel comfortable modelling - it's not something that comes naturally to me, especially when I'm working with fashion photographers because they're used to working with really tall, skinny and beautiful models and I'm very aware that I'm 5ft 2in and a size 12.'

But her worries were unfounded, as the petite singer looks her best in the photos.Lily, who has a two-week break from the festival circuit, also launched her jewellery collection today.Called Lily Allen, the jewellery features cute motifs such as pandas, flamingoes and pumpkins, covered in crystals.

Coke Isn't Bad, Says Lily Allen

We need to work on making Lily Allen a U.S. Citizen so that she can become our new Surgeon General instead of that TV doctor, because she knows what's really good and bad for us. Take cocaine for instance? It's not that bad! That's what Dr. Lily claims. She opened up her rant trap again and defended the evil doer known as cocaine.

Lily said, “The only story is that drugs are bad and they will kill you - you will become a prostitute, a rapist or a dealer. But that's not true. I know lots of people who take cocaine three nights a week and get up and go to work. But we never hear that side of the story. I wish people wouldn’t sensationalize it. Some people are just bad at taking drugs.”

Lily should really teach a class in our grade schools about how to take drugs "the good way."I'll admit that my nose has danced with the white fairies once or twice or a hundred times. In a demure and sophisticated moment for singer Lily Allen, she experienced a wardrobe malfunction and exposed her bare bum to the world.In a move that doesn’t often come naturally to Lily Allen, she was dressed very sophisticatedly in a teal dress for Matthew Freud’s Christmas party in London. Lily Allen Will Appear As Lesbian Vampire

Lily Allen will have a cameo appearance as a lesbian vampire in a film due out next year.The Sun reports the film, “Lesbian Vampire Killer,” is the big screen debut for Mathew Horne and James Corden. Mathew and James are big in the UK, starring in “Gavin & Stacey,” which won Best Male Comedy Newcomer for James and Best New British Television Comedy for the show at the 2007 British Comedy Awards. Horne and Corden met Allen after appearing on her TV show.

“James wants Lily to take on a bigger part but she is happy with a cameo.”Kind of surprising Lily is opting just for the cameo role when she seems to put herself in the media spotlight a lot. Last night she sported a pink wig and had to be carried out of the Glamour Women of the Year Awards where she won the Editor’s Special Award. Coincidentally, James Corden was there too. I don’t know what was more shocking, her behavior, her hair, or the dress she wore featuring “bleeding Bambis.” You can see the photos here. Lily somewhat apologized on her blog this morning.

Lily was vacationing in Antibes, which is just down the coast from Cannes. The famous film festival began yesterday, so there are tons of photographers waiting to get their shots of Hollywood A-listers who are in town for the big event.Lily arrived at her hotel sporting some bleached-blond hair and then had no reservations about sunbathing topless. She swam and tanned in just her bottoms, the way you do in Cannes. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Lily Allen topless. Last year she stripped down while vacationing in Thailand.

In other Lily Allen news, the singer is said to be writing a television show with the stars of British sitcom “Gavin and Stacey” as well as Mathew Home and James Corden. Of her writing a source says,“James loves her ideas and shares her sense of humour. He reckons the humour from Lily’s first album, ‘Alright, Still’ will come across on the small screen.
