Now that Nick Lachy split with longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnilo and Jessica Simpson has split with football player Tony Romo, does that mean we could see Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson back together again?Don’t hold your breath. Just because both Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are newly single doesn’t necessarily mean it is a good idea for them to take another stab at a relationship.

And a family source says, “It won’t happen. They have no respect for him. Jessica has no respect for him. There is way too much bad blood between Nick and Joe for Jessica to even think about it.”But things with Romo weren’t easy. According to another source close to the Simpsons, “He wanted this perfect mold of the perfect football girlfriend. People don’t realize that Jessica has been worn down by Hollywood. She has insecurities and inner demons that she struggles with. She’s not some upbeat blond cheerleader that people want her to be. She’s gone through heartache before. She wants someone who is on the same page that she is. If she has to move on for that, she will.”

So while all you Newlyweds fans out there would love to see Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson back together, the odds of that happening are highly unlikely.

Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo Breaks Up

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have called it quits, reps for each confirm to PEOPLE."They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another," Minnillo's rep tells PEOPLE of the couple, who began dating in 2006.The split comes after a rash of breakup rumors and reports, which were shot down. Earlier this month Minnillo told PEOPLE that she and Lachey were "very much still on."A source says Minnillo, 28, and Lachey, 35, are "still friends. It was the right thing for both of them to do."

A source close to the couple tells Us: "It was an amicable break-up. They walk away from it still friends."Adds another source, "They still care about each other very much. This is what's best for both of them."The couple hooked up in 2006 -- the year after Lachey split from wife Jessica Simpson.In 2007, Minnillo told Us she wanted to have kids with Lachey: "I always say I want three boys and a girl, but at the end of the day, I just want healthy kids."

The ‘Disaster Movie’ actress says Lachey is a “very loving” boyfriend and even said ‘I Love You’ first.“The L-word is not thrown around by men as easily as it is by women – but I didn’t say it first! He’s very loving. We’re very open and vocal,” Minnillo said.Minnillo, 27, began dating Lachey, 34, after his divorce from pop singer Jessica Simpson.

While Lachey had not problem saying the “L-Word,” Minnillo said it’s not the same for her character’s boyfriend in ‘Disaster Movie,' which also stars Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra.“He just can’t drop the L-word. And what a girl wants more than anything in the world is for their boyfriend to say ‘I love you,’” she said.Rumors are catching fire that Nick Lachey and longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo are on a one way trip to splitsville. Lachey started dating Minnillo in 2006 after separating from then wife Jessica Simpson. Former MTV host Vanessa Minnillo graces the cover of the next issue of Vegas magazine. In the issue she talks about her career, being a former Miss USA, and her very public relationship with Nick Lachey.Her recent forays into acting, this ready-for-anything Miss Teen USA lives with no regrets.Vanessa on her live-for-the-moment attitude: “One thing my dad instilled in me is don’t live with regret. So everything I want to do in life I’m going to jump into. Everyone thought I was crazy when I tried out for Miss Teen USA, because I’d never done pageants. I even thought I was crazy. But I won it, and that gave me every single opportunity I have today. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to everyone else and not do it.”

Vanessa on taking her movie career seriously: “When I was on the set of Fantastic Four, I loved it. I respected everyone’s work ethic. It was like a mini-family, and I want to continue doing it, whether it’s action or comedy or action-comedy. Clash of the Choirs Winner Is Team Nick Lachey

Youngstown native Le Shawn Tucker helped his choir win first place in “Clash of the Choirs.”The winner was revealed at the conclusion of the four-part NBC holiday mini-series Thursday night.It all started with five choirs: Team Cincinnati, led by Nick Lachey; Team Philadelphia, led by Patti LaBelle; Team New Haven, led by Michael Bolton; Team Oklahoma City, led by Blake Shelton; and Team Houston, led by Kelly Rowland.

Tucker, who sang a solo during his choir’s performance Thursday night, was on the choir headed by singing star Nick Lachey. The choir, which represented Lachey’s hometown of Cincinnati, beat those of other two singing stars in the final round: Patti LaBelle’s Philadelphia choir and Blake Shelton’s Oklahoma City, Okla., choir.

The victory by Lachey’s choir means that Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati will receive a check for $250,000 from the show.Tucker, a 2002 graduate of Chaney High School in Youngstown, is a senior at Wright State University in Dayton.
