Turns out "titivate" means "to smarten up," according to British-American translation.After the compliment, Anderson received a 22 from the judges for her Marilyn Monroe tribute number.We'll find out if she titivated herself enough to stay in the competition during Tuesday's (March 30) elimination show.

Kevin Skinner Is America’s Got Talent 2009 Winner

The America’s Got Talent 2009 winner is Kevin Skinner. The Wednesday, September 16, 2009 season finale saw the country singer and chicken catcher crowned the winner, receiving one million dollar prize as well as the Las Vegas headline show.The two-hour season finale, full of excitement, suspense and the fanfare of live performances, saw, in the end the chicken catcher and country singer Kevin Skinner, 35 years old and from Mayfield, Kentucky, become the 2009 winner.

The program’s judges throughout the season were Piers Morgan, David Hasselhoff, and Sharon Osbourne with host Nick Cannon. With a field of strong contenders, including the trio of singing children known as Voices of Glory, with a heartrending backstory of helping their mother by singing to her as she was comatose in the hospital after an accident as well as the second place finisher, Barbara Padilla who triumphed over cancer.

Similarly Barbara Padilla had won over America as well. Facing a cancer diagnosis, undergoing chemotherapy and radiation and ultimately prevailing with her health and her voice intact, she has been more than a sentimental favorite; she has had the vocal prowess proving her worthy of winning.

And as always, with two strong contenders there could be only one winner of the Las Vegas headliner show and the million dollar prize.That is the latest word on the America’s Got Talent 2009 winner, Kevin Skinner.

Billy Mays Found Dead In Florida Home

Brash TV pitchman Billy Mays, whose ubiquitous ads for household products like OxiClean and Orange Glo made him a pop icon, was found dead at his Tampa home on Sunday morning.The booming-voiced Mays, 50, died just hours after suffering a blow to the head during a rough plane landing on a US Airways flight.

It was unclear whether the bumpy landing contributed to Mays' death, but he complained about not feeling well before going to bed."All of a sudden as we hit, you know, it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping," Mays told Fox 13 in Tampa. "It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."He wrote on Twitter: "Just had a close call landing in Tampa. The tires blew out upon landing. Stuck in the plane on the runway. You can always count on US Air."

Mays' wife, Deborah, found him in bed at their home and called 911 when she couldn't revive him around 7:45a.m.Tampa police said there were no signs of foul play.Police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said any connection between the rough landing and Mays' death would "purely be speculation."There were no reported injuries at the time of the landing. An autopsy will be done on Mays today.

America’s Got Talent Returns as Nick Cannon Hosts the Show

Nick Cannon was a guest on “Live With Regis & Kelly” earlier today to promote his new gig.Cannon is the host America’s Got Talent 2009.The new season of America’s Got Talent which is expected to draw a huge audience thanks to “Britain’s Got Talent,” mega star Susan Boyle, will premiere on NBC this evening.America's Got Talent typically features a smorgasbord of performers — human and otherwise — from Las Vegas-ready showcasers to circus sideshow rejects. That won't change this season.

"There's no denying that everyone wants to see if we have our own Susan Boyle," says executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz. "The worst thing we could do is find our own version. The more you try to engineer it, the less you achieve on the desired outcome."Still, Paul Telegdy, NBC's chief of reality programming, says the show expects the "draft" from Boyle's volcanic rise from obscurity to provide a ratings boost to AGT, which for the past two years has been TV's most watched original summer show.

Boyle's sudden fame will be "very effective in letting the public know that this is what America's Got Talent is about: a democracy for any act, age range or personal story," Frot-Coutaz says.Boyle already has influenced auditioning. Crooked House Divided: Jon & Kate Plus 8' Divorce Announcement

Jon and Kate ready to litigate? After months of speculation, the famed reality couple from TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is heading to divorce court. In a much-promoted episode of the hit series Monday night, Jon and Kate Gosselin, the parents of eight children, announced in separate interviews they were separating; seconds later, text appeared on a black screen to add that the couple had decided to "legally dissolve" their 10-year marriage. The children will stay in the house, the couple said, and Jon and Kate will switch off living there.

And the show, apparently, will go on. TLC executives declined to comment Monday, but the Gosselins had committed to a full season of 40 episodes and indicated they would continue allowing camera crews access to film the family's life, just not with Mom and Dad there together.The announcement was hardly a surprise. Viewers of the 2-year-old series had seen the couple's relationship deteriorate recently, and even people who don't watch have been exposed to their problems through an endless stream of headlines -- "Caught With Other Woman" and "Inside Jon's Prison" -- in the tabloid and celebrity media.

Monday's episode opened with the delivery of playhouses for the children. But tensions between the couple were evident -- even with something as simple as placement of the houses. More than 30 minutes passed, however, before the status of their marriage was addressed.

"Kate and I have decided to separate," Jon said, sitting alone on the couch."I was too passive," Jon said of their relationship. "I just . . . went along with everything. Now I finally stood up on my own two feet and I'm proud of myself."

Kate offered her own outlook: "It's very uncomfortable at this point because Jon has a lot of anger towards me and I would love to discuss it with him but he won't talk to me," she said. Before the recent strife, they were just a couple trying to manage a set of twins and rambunctious sextuplets. The combination of his cool and calm demeanor and her sometimes controlling and overly organized personality were first seen on the one-hour special "Surviving Sextuplets and Twins" on Discovery Health in 2006. Its success eventually led to the TLC series. It centered mostly on the couple's home life in Pennsylvania and the idiosyncrasies involved with raising a gaggle of children.

But with the success came their indoctrination into the tabloid swamp. And as the show entered its fifth season in May, the lens has focused less on the kiddie chaos and more on the turbulent marriage.Both Jon and Kate have been plagued by rumors of infidelity in recent weeks -- he with a 23-year-old teacher and she with her bodyguard. Added to the turmoil was an investigation by the Pennsylvania Labor Department into the show's possible violation of child labor laws, an allegation TLC has denied.

Danielle Staub is Star of the The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Last week, it was revealed that The Real Housewives of New Jersey have lazy, entitled, overindulged, poorly educated kids. This week, wash, rinse, repeat, only replace "kids" with "women".Teresa takes Gia to Wilhelmina Models agency in Manhattan as she tries to chase fame with her daughter as her avatar. The modeling exec can tell in a heartbeat that Gia is a pageant kid (and Teresa is a stage mom) and says so. Teresa argues that she paid $800 for those photos and did the modeling exec look at all of them? One of the people in that room is an expert in her field. The other is a New Jersey Housewife. It's not hard to tell which is which. Teresa gets the pictures reshot, by the same photographer (great choice) but the exec finds a couple that are usable anyway.

Jacqueline talks to Ashley about the fact that she failed two classes and has to go to summer school. Ashley rolls her eyes and then pouts. In response to her failing school, Jacqueline and her husband buy Ashley a car. It seems like Caroline talks her out of actually giving the car to Ashley, because she tells her to "hide it" (Where? In the bushes?) and then we never hear about it again.

Danielle goes rock climbing with her daughters and again espouses fitness as the key to youth. Is fitness also the key too looking like Joan Rivers? She also goes out to dinner with Teresa, Jacqueline and their husbands where she plans to publicly dump the boyfriend that is 20 years her junior. Because she's the mature one. They talk her out of it, and she returns to interrupt a later play date to drag it out even more, this time claiming that she doesn't know how to break up with someone. I think she means, she doesn't know how to conclude a relationship in a way that is not akin to a train wreck.

Dina and her brother, a chef and stylist for "mega-celebrities", shop and buy a blue fuzzy rug because animal prints are big this season and apparently they believe muppets will be big next season. Dina also attends a "spa party" at Danielle's house, which seems more like a plastic surgery party as there is a doctor there giving Botox and lip injections. Dina claims she would never do anything to her face (she must mean anything more) and then as the wine flows gets cattier and cattier about wanting to give Danielle the painful injections herself.

Which, yes, is very rude. And yet also very enabling for Danielle's brand of drama. Danielle claims that Dina is scared of her because she "knows too much" about her. Which sounds a bit delusional to me. On the other side of the fence, Teresa and Jacqueline gossip that they heard Danielle used to be a stripper, is a "husband stealer" and is currently stringing along 5 men. Caroline, proving again she is the most normal of the group, merely decides to investigate it for herself rather than listen to idle gossip.Watch 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' video here.

So You Think You Can Dance - Auditions

Thursday's premiere of the fifth season of "So You Think You Can Dance" featured mohawk-clad choreographer Sonya Tayeh, a same-sex ballroom dance pair and judge Mary Murphy's token scream.The two-hour Fox reality show included audition footage from New York and Denver. Murphy was joined at the judges' table by returning judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe. Tayeh sat in for the Denver auditions, while guest choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon critiqued the dancers in New York.

The good: Keep an eye on Natalie, the redhead who made it to the Las Vegas round last year but was edged out by her roommate, eventual Top 3 finalist Katee Shean. Natalie impressed the judges this season in Denver and will advance to Vegas again. Luckily, she didn't bring a roomie with her. Denver dancer Brandon had a similar story. Gev Manoukian, the eventual ninth-place finisher, kept him from advancing past Vegas last year. But Brandon's back this season -- bringing judge Mary Murphy to tears -- and will dance in the Vegas round.

The bad: There were no shortage of missteps, but the female singer in Denver who took the stage dressed like a lion wins. Oh yeah, she danced with light sabers, too.The surprising: In Denver, the show saw its first male-male ballroom dance team. To say the least, Misha and Mitchel left the judges confused. "I'm certainly one of those people who likes to see guys be guys and girls be girls on stage," Lythgoe said. Neither dancer advanced: A mid-performance tumble didn't help their case.

Sonya Tayeh Is the Judge of So You Think You Can Dance

Meet Sonya Tayeh, a choreographer who was a guest judge on the season premiere of So You Think You Can Dance.Sonya Tayeh was a guest judge on tonight’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance. The auditions were held in Brooklyn, New York and Denver, Colorado. Tayeh, who is a contemporary choreographer, joined the judges in Colorado. Sonya seemed to enjoy the judging process and even seemed to have a favorite dancer, Natalie.

We don’t have much of a biography on Sonya, but we do know she is an established choreographer. She is part of the MSA and has quite a extensive list of choreographed credits to her name. She is best known for using Contemporary, Funk, Progressive Contact, Floor Barre, House, and Modern styles of dance in her routines.

So You Think You Can Dance kicked off its fifth season with a two hour premiere. The premiere will continue tomorrow night for another two hour audition session. Cat Deeley is back to host while Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy rejoin the judges’ table.All you fans will be thrilled to know that So You Think You Can Dance has become such a summer hit, the sixth season of SYTYCD will air this fall!

Cyndi Lauper Sings "Time After Time" on "American Idol

llison Iraheta and Cyndi Lauper sing "Time After Time" together on "American Idol," it's really good. They have good chemistry, are listening to each other and playing off each other. Finish with some pretty tricky free-form runs, going in and out of each others' vocals. This is totally something they've practiced, didn't just come in off the street and pull that off.Man, am so looking forward to seeing what Allison does in her music career; she's such a natural.

Host Ryan Seacrest said on Wednesday's finale that nearly 100 million votes were cast for the finalists. The 23-year-old Allen, a student from Conway, Ark., bested the 27-year-old Lambert, a theater actor from San Diego.The two-hour finale included performances by the Black Eyed Peas, Cyndi Lauper, Carlos Santana and Rod Stewart. Lambert performed with Kiss and Allen dueted with Keith Urban.

Kris Allen is New American Idol as Adam Lambert Loses:Kris Allen Wins American Idol 2009

Kris Allen's smooth vocals and boy-next-door image propelled him to "American Idol" victory Wednesday, turning the theatrical powerhouse Adam Lambert into the most unlikely of also-rans."I'm sorry, I don't even know what to feel right now. This is crazy," said a stunned Allen, 23, of Conway, Ark.As host Ryan Seacrest said in announcing the result of the viewer vote, "The underdog, the dark horse, comes back and wins the nation over."

Lambert's commanding vocal range and stage presence — and the judges' adoration of him — at times turned "Idol" into "The Adam Lambert Show," with the other contestants mere guests. But it turned out that "Idol" viewers could embrace a gifted performer like Lambert, one who sported black nail polish and bold self-assurance, only to a point.

Simon Cowell tipped his hat to both contestants Wednesday."To both of you, and I don't normally mean this, I thought you were both brilliant. .... The future's all yours," the judge said.

Kris Allen performed “Ain’t No Sunshine” on the piano. Randy said, “that was one of your best performances on the stage.” Kara says “you have a way of creating an intimate bond with your audience, where everyone feels like you’re singing to us”. While Simon said, “When your name was announced last week, I wasn’t sure America voted right. But I absolutely take it all back after that performance.”

Simon Cowell says that Kris Allen has won Round 1 tonight.

Adam Lambert performed A Change Is Gonna Come. Kara says the it was the best performance Adam has done. Simon Cowell says Adam Lambert is “100% back in the game.

Randy said on Adam’s performance, “a bit pitchy for me in some spots”. Paula says she’ll “be a fan forever, front line” Simon Cowell says “you have been one of the best, original contestants on the show..I genuinely believe we have found a worldwide star in you”.

While Randy Jackson says the song was a little too high for Kris. Simon Cowell says “I think the first song was your highlight…watching you tonight has been incredible…you have thoroughly deserved to be standing on this stage tonight, congratulations.”

Dancing With The Stars 2009 (DWTS) Winner is Shawn Johnson

Tonight is the night, the Dancing With The Stars mirror ball trophy winner will be crowned. After 10 weeks of entertaining drama, surprises and dazzling performances, your votes have been calculated and added to the judges votes to choose the winner! Who took home the crown tonight on Dancing With The Stars? Maybe it was your favorite!Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Lady Gaga or should I say Gag Gag came out and sang her chart topping No. 1 single, Just Dance for the crowd! She is currently wrapping up her first concert tour entitled The Fame Ball Tour for her debut album, The Fame. Lady Gaga has released three singles and been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales in excess of one million copies in the United States. She looked like a hideous female clown with her black eyeliner and fake blonde wig!

Throughout the two-hour finale, the previously eliminated couples returned to perform their final dances of the season and many of them proved exactly why they were eliminated, although Holly Madison must have been practicing for weeks as she really looked like she was able to dance tonight! I was so excited to see my season favorite Steve-O come out and rock the house tonight. He looked adorable!Past season competitors came out and weighed in on the finalists this season and had their views of who they thought should be the winner. It was interesting to see how many women were pulling for Gilles and Melissa equally tonight!

The three finalists had their last opportunity to impress the judges as they performed their third and final dance; one of their favorite past routines from the season. The judges’ scores for tonight’s dances were then combined with the judges’ scores and viewers’ votes from Monday’s performances to determine the victor of the coveted Dancing With The Stars mirror ball trophy.

First up was Shawn and Mark dancing a Cha Cha Cha to Pretty Young Thing. So Cute…the both of them.Len said that Shawn came out and perfromed it wonderfully. Bruno said that she came from cute to saucy and sexy. Carrie Ann said that they all underestimated her and she deserves to be right were she is. They received a score of 10, 10 and 10 a perfect 30! Shawn should be so proud of herself!

Melissa and Tony were up next dancing a Salsa to Oh Lay Oh Lay. Melissa didn’t look as confident tonight as usual?Bruno said Melissa was appetizing. Carrie Ann said that Melissa had the muse of dance and had come so far. Len said that Melissa has a great presence on the floor. Their scores were 10, 10 and 10 another perfect 30!

Gilles and Cheryl were up last and they danced the Argentine Tango. Way to pick a dance style for the finals…it was so sensual and sexy! They are the winners to me 100%!Carrie Ann said that Gilles is a very special performer. Len said that more than any other couple this season, he has brought me more pleasure to watch! Bruno said it was an Argentine triumph and a star is born! Their score was a perfect 30 too!

Lady Gaga transformed the Dancing With The Stars stage with her second performance of her third single, LoveGame, from her debut album, The Fame, taking the stage by storm with her own dancers. The girl can sing, but she has major issues with her style! She is in desperate need of a fashion designer and make-up artist, but I must admit she looked better than in her first performance! The disco stick she carried kind of freaked me out though as it looked like a toilet bowl cleaner and I couldn’t imagine what in the world she had planned for the thing…although I knew by the words to the song what she had intended for it.

All the excitement and frenzy led up to the moment we’d all been waiting for…who among the three finalists reigned as champion of Dancing With The Stars and took home the coveted mirror ball trophy? The third place finalist was Melissa and Tony, in second place was Gilles and Cheryl and the the winner was none other than Shawn and Mark with less than 1% difference between the couple in first and second! Unbelievable!!!!

Jillian Bachelorette :'The Bachelorette' 2009 Season Premiere

Last season, Bachelor Jason was kind-of a big jerk, but now Jillian Harris is back to find her special someone on "The Bachlorette." Bachelorettes have been busy little bees lately. Melissa Rycroft is dancing her little heart out over on "Dancing with the Stars" and Jen Schefft just got married. Now we have a brand-new Bachelorette in Jillian Harris, the pint-sized Canadian cutie from last season. I was a big of Jillian's, so hopefully the show found her some winners.

After a great Mary-Tyler-Moore-esque montage where Jillian works out, does cartwheels on the beach, and goes all Bikini Car Wash on a purple Barracuda, she is off to the mansion to meet her harem of men. I'm sad she didn't throw her hat in the air at the end! Here are some highlights from the first Guy Montage:

**There's a guy named "Kiptyn." Much like "Bethel," that borders on child abuse
**Michael is a "break dance instructor." Hmmm. I think he might be more interested in Kiptyn.
**Stephen is an early favorite of mine because he's adorable and funny
**Kyle looks like a 26 year-old Tom Green
**Sasha is their very own Roughneck. Take that, American Idol!
**A guy named Wes (who goes by "Rooster" in Mexico) is a country singer. Wonder why he wants to be on the show?
**A guy named Greg goes by "Bill Bro" and says he's a perfect 10. Bill Bro is extremely shiny and has upwards of 400 teeth. Maybe he and Michael can just run off together and spare us all the trouble.
**Jake is wholesome, an airline pilot and wants a best friend to settle down with. I'm not sure if I love him or if I feel a little nauseous.

At the mansion, Chris reminds us that Jillian's motto is, "You have to slay a few dragons to find the right prince." My boyfriend remarks, "Has she been dating Coach?"

Jillian heads out to the driveway to meet her men. She's a vision in a white dress, just for the record. Some highlights of the first impressions:

**Bryan, a high school football coach, sweeps her up in his arms. Way to respect someone's personal space, Bry.
**Brian, an IT consultant, greets her with, "Hot Tub Harris!" Wow, the Brians are batting 1.000 tonight.
**Jake the Pilot gives her a set of wings. Awww. This guy is too much.
**Dave, a trucking contractor, totally chokes and can barely say hello.
**John from Boise is like an excitable golden retriever
**Brad from Chicago might actually have a split personality, one named Brad and one named Cory
**Simon is British. I immediately think that that's cheating a little because of the accent, but then he opens his mouth and it's like Brad Pitt from Snatch. The show has to subtitle him. Oh dear.
**Julien, the lambourghini driver, creeps me out. My boyfriend remarks, "You are a sleazy *@&#-bag."
**Kyle, the Tom Green guy from earlier, shows up in a leather motorcycle jacket and is a big nerd, but not in a cute way.
**Adam from Long Beach calls dibs on her first 15 minutes once they go inside the mansion. It wreaks of desperation and insecurity. I disapprove.
**When Juan steps out of the limo, the music changes to Spanish Porn music. Bom-chicka-wah-wah. With castanets.
**Bill Bro tells her how he marries people (because he's ordained) and that two of them were Canadian. Well, that would seal the deal for me, Guy Smiley.

Jillian heads inside (man, that would be overwhelming) and handles the hyenas with aplomb. Jake borrows her for some alone time and all the other guys are like, "Wow. Game on." Jesse comes out to cockblock Jake and reveals, Superman-like, that his undershirt says "Aspiring Canadian." Snerk. These guys certainly are aggressive but I suppose on a night when she cuts 1/3 of them, they have to be.It's basically a revolving door of guys for awhile, very whirlwind. Once they all reconvene together, one of them asks, "What's going to separate us because you said all of us have these great qualities..." and Jillian responds, "Not all of you but as individuals..." It's hilarious and Jillian is very cutely embarrassed.

Chris breaks up the laugh-fest with the First Impression Rose. Everybody stares at it, cracking jokes and then one guy says, "Has anyone kissed her yet? Cause I'll punch you right in the face." Oh, I do love when a bunch of men get together. It's a whole different brand of crazy from when women get together in groups.

Brian, the "Hot Tub Harris" guy, calls her a "sassy little minx" then Kyle draws a mustache on her finger with a sharpie. Dude, she's wearing a white dress. Read a room. Kyle goes all artsy-fartsy, so Brian goes double-wide hick, so Kyle goes all I-have-Peruvian-heritage. The back-and-forth devolves into Brian giving a talking-head about putting a waffle iron... waffle iron? is that right?... to Kyle's face. My boyfriend says, "Is he talking about committing a hate crime? 'I hate Peruvians!'" Finally Mathue comes up and asks her he can steal her away and she practically leaves a Jillian-sized hole in the wall getting away from Brian and Kyle. Something tells me neither of them are receiving the First Impression Rose. If there was a Crazypants Rose, they might vie for that one.

Off with Mathue, Jillian is asked what she looks for and responds, "I think the biggest things are is someone who can communicate well." I appreciate the irony. Heh heh. Wes steals her away from Mathue to play her a song on his guitar. That's... too much, dude. Too much. One of the guys bellows, "How do you perform after that?" Umm... are you confused about how this show works?

MIchael the Break Dance Instructor gives Jillian a lesson on the living room rug. "Hey, Spaghetti Arms! This is my dance space, this is your dance space." It's actually pretty cute. Bill Bro wanders up (I told you they were perfect for each other) and throws down in a break dance contest. Josh the Lifeguard comments, "Bill Bro was really movin' for an older guy, but Mike was definitely the winner of the break dance contest. He did some stuff that I haven't seen since the 7th grade." I heart Josh.

Chris crashes the fun again and introduces the Final Five Cylons. Sorry, the Final Five Guys. Chris says the response to Jillian as the Bachelorette was so immense that there are now 30 guys in the running. Ooooh. Jillian meets Ed, Bryce, Reed, Mike and Tanner. Mike takes her champagne, makes her step back, throws a ball at her and says, "You are a great catch." I SO wish she would've dropped it. Also, Tanner might want to have a dance contest with Mike and Bill Bro, ifyouknowwhatImean.

Alone time with Ed seems to go well. He's a cutie, I think he, Jake the Pilot and Stephen are my two early favorites. Tanner steals Jillian away and lets his Freak Foot Flag fly. He says in a talking-head, "Hopefully I can see Jillian's feet." Dude, it's the first date! And only sort of! Rein it in, you creeper! He rattles off things he likes to do, "cookin', huntin', fishin.'" My boyfriend remarks, "Toe-suckin.'" Gross.

The guys are a little bitter that they've been there all night and haven't seen her much and now these new guys are getting face time. Dave remarks that the guy who pulled the "great catch" stunt needs to get kicked in the sack. I heartily agree.

First Impression Rose time. Speaking of Dave, Jillian picks it up in the living room and brings it in to David, the guy who flubbed his greeting with her on the driveway. She calls it his second shot at a first impression, which is cute of her.

Chris breaks it up, Jillian deliberates and then it's time to eliminate 10 guys. The roses go to: Jake the Pilot that I picked, Jesse the Winemaker, Wes the Country Singer, Mathue the Rescuer, Michael the Break Dancer, Robert the... Bruce? (I don't remember), Ed the Chicago Guy that I picked, Reed the New Guy She Barely Talked To, Simon the Brit, Kiptyn the Surfer, Mike the "Great Catch" guy, Brian the Waffle Iron/Hot Tub Harris guy (really, Jillian? Really?), Sasha the Roughneck, Julien the Skeazoid (nooooo!), Tanner P the Foot Fetish Guy (GROSS, JILLIAN!), Mark the Pizza Guy, Brad the Split Personality Guy, Tanner F the Second Guy I Don't Really Remember, and Juan the Spanish Porn Guy.
