Alia Sabur Is World’s Youngest Professor!
Alia Sabur, a 19-year old girl from New York, who is currently a professor in the Department of Advanced Technology Fusion at Konkuk University, Seoul.Alia became famous when she was declared the world’s youngest college professor by the Guinness Book of World Records. She is an amazing child prodigy having completed graduation at the age of 14 and is now doing PhD.“It’s really a great honor to be in the company of such great scientists,” Sabur said.
Alia Sabur was born on February 22, 1989 in New York City, New York. She had left public school in 4th grade and was admitted to State University of New York at Stony Brook at the age of 10. At 11, she was playing with the Rockland Symphony Orchestra.After Stony Brook, Sabur attended Drexel University where she received her M.S. in 2006 and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Materials Science and Engineering.When she was hired as a professor in the Seoul university, she broke the record previously held by Colin Maclaurin, a student of Isaac Newton, in 1717.
