Alina Kabaeva Is Dating President Vladimir Putin

Alina Kabaeva, a Russian gymnast known for her exceptional flexibility. Rumor has it that this Russian beauty is set to marry President Vladimir Putin. Alina Kabaeva is a Russian rhythmic gymnast, who is one of the most agile and flexible gymnasts known to date. She is causing the internet to buzz with speculation that she is to marry the Russian President Vladimir Putin this coming June.

Alina Kabaeva was born on May 12, 1983; she is just about to turn 25. She was born in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR, Soviet Union and began training to become a gymnast at the age of 4. Many of her coaches did not like her, saying the she was too heavy and ugly to become a rhythmic gymnast. Finally, when she was a teenager her mother hired Irina Viner who immediately saw her potential. Together they worked and Alina began winning many titles.

At the age of 15 she was the youngest member on the Russian team and she unexpectedly took home the title in the European Championships. In 1999 she took home the world title and again in 2003.In 2001 there was a controversy regarding use of the drug furosemide. In order to relieve menstrual cramps, Kabaeva was taking a supplement called “Hyper.” When she ran out at the Goodwill Games, Goodwill Games, the team physiotherapist restocked at a local pharmacy. However, the supplement sold there was fake and contained furosemide. The FIG nullified her results and named Tamara Yerofeeva the 2001 World Champion.

Alina Kabaeva has since retired, but is still making headlines. This month the Russian paper Moskovski Korrespondent announced that she was to marry the Russian President Vladimir Putin, on June 15, 2008, soon after he steps down as President. According to reports Putin has already secretly divorced his wife Ludmilla, and plans to marry Alina at an imperial palace on this date.In a press conference this morning Putin denied reports of marriage.
