Aliza Shvarts Yale Abortion Art!!

Aliza Shvarts is a Yale senior who is taking her “art” to a whole new level. The Ivy league student has an exhibit in which she will display her forced miscarriages.Aliza Shvarts is causing quite a few people to be upset r at least queasy. Over a 9 month period she artificially inseminated herself multiple times and took drugs to induce abortions. She filmed her bathtub miscarriages and saved the blood. On Tuesday a gallery will open, in which a large cube lined with plastic sheeting and the blood from the miscarriages (along with a little Vaseline to keep things moist) will hang from the ceiling. Video footage of the miscarriages will be projected on the sides of the cube.

Shvarts says, “It was a private and personal endeavor, but also a transparent one for the most part. This isn’t something I’ve been hiding.” Adding, that she believes “strongly that art should be a medium for politics and ideologies, not just a commodity. I think that I’m creating a project that lives up to the standard of what art is supposed to be.”Just because your at Yale and feel the need to prove your intellect doesn’t mean you have to do something so silly.
