Britney Spears Returning To Television

After the success of her first appearance on the hit CBS television comedy “How I Met Your Mother”, Britney Spears is coming back for a second. Apparently the ratings from the first episode are making the network see dollar signs, and they can’t resist bringing in the Britster for another go around.A source from the show reveals that both Britney and the studio wanted the second show.

“The show is ecstatic and so is Britney. She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.”The first episode got Neil Patrick Harris into a bit of hot water after some of his comments were taken out of context. After an interview in which Harris said, “our show does not need stunt casting in order to succeed”, he was forced to respond after the article took that to mean that he wanted Spears banned from the “How I Met Your Mother” set.

“It seems that yesterday a writer took some quotes of mine and speculated an opinion about their intent. I write to you to set the record straight. Britney did a great job on the show. She really did. In fact, we are all hoping that she returns rather soon to reprise her role as Abby.”I get what he was trying to say - the show should be able to stand on its own two feet without reliance on gimmicks like guest stars. Why would the writer jump to banning Britney from the set? Makes a good article I guess. Lucky for Harris, it looks like Britney will be back on set before too long.
