Brooke White Made It to American Idol Top 6

Brooke White, the cute American Idol contestant who made it to the top 6 performers.On tonight’s episode of American Idol, Brooke White sang “You Must Love Me” from Evita. Andrew Lloyd Webber struggled to get Brooke to understand the feeling of the song, but he finally broke through. Unfortunately, Brooke forgot the words the first time around, and she had to stop and start again.Brooke admits to being a worrier and says that her toughest obstacle has been her own internal battles with confidence. But she tries to stay true to herself and relax as much as possible on stage.

Brooke White was born on June 2, 1983 in Mesa, Arizona, so her age is 24. Brooke currently lives in Van Nuys, California with her husband, who vowed not to cut his hair until Brooke was cut from American Idol. She hopes to raise a family with him someday. Before joining the singing television show, Brooke worked as a nanny, but also as an aspiring singer/songwriter. Her first album, Songs from the Attic, was released in 2006. She also tried her hand at beauty school, but decided to focus on music after a year and a half.

So far Brooke has been pretty successful on American Idol. When judge Simon Cowell was on Oprah, he named Brooke as one of his top four, along with David Cook, David Archuleta, and Jason Castro (all of whom are still in it). Unfortunately for Brooke, it might not last much longer. She has struggled the last couple weeks, and this week she was picked as the candidate to vote for on Vote for the Worst, the site that encourages everyone to vote for the singer that the judges would hate and that would annoy America. And after tonight’s performance, in which Brooke stopped and restarted her song from “Evita”, it doesn’t look good. Hopefully she can muster enough votes between Vote for the Worst followers and family and friends, or her husband might be getting a buzz cut tomorrow night.
