Lalaine Vergara Paras Gets Sentenced
Lalaine Vergara Paras, the “Lizzie McGuire” actress who was able to keep her meth charges quiet for almost a year, that is until she pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a drug treatment program.Although charged with possession of crystal meth in July 2007, Lalaine failed to show up to the court appearance, so a bench warrant was issued for her arrest. She turned herself in in February and was recently sentenced. The judge ordered Lalaine to attend a drug treatment program, so her record will be expunged once she completes it.
Lalaine Vergara Paras was born on June 3, 1987 in Burbank, California, so her age is 20. She is the youngest of four children; her parents were born in the Philippines. Lalaine began acting at a young age and starred in a Broadway production of Les Miserable before returning to California where she appeared in several television commercials. Her ads included Microsoft and Burger King. While she has appeared in several movies, included the Disney Channel’s “Annie” and “Get a Clue”, she is most well-known for her role as Hilary Duff’s best friend Miranda Sanchez in “Lizzie McGuire”.
Lalaine is also a talented singer, releasing her first album on July 8, 2003. Her songs have been a hit on Disney Radio and she has toured with the Disney Imagineers.Lalaine continues to act and was recently cast in the movie “Royal Kill”. Unfortunately, Lalaine might have to put her acting career on hold while she attends a drug treatment program and she pleaded guilty to possession of meth.
