Star Jones Filed For Divorce

Like we didn’t all see this coming, Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband of three and a half years, Al Reynolds.Star filed back on March 26th at the New York Supreme Court in Manhattan. The records are sealed, and the filing was marked as an “Uncontested Matrimonial” case. Star released a statement to Entertainment Tonight regarding the divorce:

“Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman.”

Star Jones, 46, married banker Al Reynolds, 39, in a highly publicized wedding on November 13th, 2004 at Saint Bartholomew’s Church in New York City. The lavish affair had 500 guests in attendance, including her former co-stars on The View. She was often criticized for talking about her wedding’s sponsors on the daytime talk show.Rumors of a divorce between the two have always surfaced, and even more so after the two were no longer spotted together earlier this year, after Jones’ show on truTV went off the air.

There have been photos of Jones and NBA star Dwayne Wade seen together, which has fueled rumors of an affair, but that has not been confirmed.Of course, what’s a divorce without the less famous spouse wanting to write a tell all book of their most intimate details? That’s the latest rumor, but no word yet from the Reynolds camp if this is in fact true….
