Dany Garcia Is The Rock’s Ex-Wife!!

Dany Garcia, the ex-wife of the pro wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.The divorce proceedings between Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. The Rock, are officially over, and the financial agreement between the two has been made public. It looks like both Dany and Dwayne will pay $5,000 each into a trust fund for their 7-year-old daughter Simone. Each party waived alimony, but Johnson will be paying $22,454 per month in child support. The parties are sharing custody.

Dany Garcia is Cuban American. Dany graduated from the University of Miami in Florida in 1992. She is currently on the Board of Trustees for the school. After graduation, she founded a wealth-management firm in Miami. Still a financial advisor, Dany earned $700,000 last year.Dany met The Rock while attending the University of Miami. They were married on May 3, 1997 and have a daughter, Simone, who is 7 years old. The couple announced their separation on June 1, 2007. They have remained amicable and peacefully settled their divorce, which became final in May 2008.

Garcia also participates with a non-profit foundation, The Beacon Experience, that helps low-income kids go to college. Through the program, children sign up at an early age to commit to 13 years of counseling and college prep. Upon graduation, the student receives a scholarship and room and board money for college or vocational school. A long-time philanthropist, Garcia and Johnson donated $1 million to the University of Miami in 2006.
