Faryl Smith is In The Final Of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’
Faryl Smith is a 12-year-old opera singer who’s made it to the finals of ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ Simon Cowell thinks she is “super talented.”Faryl Smith sang Sarah McLachlan’s song ‘Angel’ and brought the house down. You can see the performance below. Now Faryl will face plumber Andrew Muir and a few others in the finals on Saturday night for the chance at $200,000.
“When you enter a competition like this, you pray to find someone like you. You are literally one in a million,” judge Simon Cowell… told Smith after she performed the Sarah McLachlan ballad, “Angel,” Thursday. “Anyone hearing you for the first time tonight should remember this occasion because you have the most incredible future ahead of you.”
Faryl Smith is from Kettering, Northamptonshire and although she looks much older, Smith is only 12-years-old. Her mom is a hairdresser and her dad a builder. They may both get to take a little time off after the show ends. The Daily Mail reports “sources close to [Simon] Cowell admit he is ready to take her under his wing and make her the same global success as he has with X Factor queen Leona Lewis.” Cowell has already started by setting her up with “X Factor” tutor Yvie Burnett for singing lessons.
‘Got Talent’ is not Faryl’s first time performing on television. In December, she sang on the BBC kids’ show TMI. It was her prior performances that gave her the opportunity to meet her idol Katherine Jenkins. Many compare her to Charlotte Church, but it’s Jenkins she would like to emulate.

she is really a big talent. She will hit it big in the future I'm sure of that. Is her voice natural? or did she ever had a singing lessons which made her voice "operatic"? because most of 12 yr. old will never sing like that? thanks. anyway I'm now a fan.
