Jon Favreau Is Iron Man!!

Jon Favreau is an actor, director and writer. Favreau is responsible for directing the summer blockbuster ‘Iron Man.’For a second straight week ‘Iron Man’ is #1 at the box office. This weekend the film took in $50.5 million, which was over $30 million more than second place ‘Speedracer.’ That brings Favreau’s film up to $150 million in two weekends which continues to prove itself as the movie to beat this summer.

Jonathan Favreau, sometimes called John Farvreau, was born in Flushing, New York on October 19, 1966, which makes his age 41. John graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and went on to attend Queens College. After two attempts, Favreau dropped out of school a few credits shy of graduating.

Favreau moved to Chicago to try his hand at stand up comedy. It was in Chicago where he landed his first acting role in the movie ‘Rudy.’ He met Chicago native Vince Vaughn during filming and the two became good friends. After a long stint in supporting roles, Jon moved to Los Angeles where he wrote and acted with Vaughn in the classic ‘Swingers.’ The film was done on a budget of $250,000 and made Jon a Hollywood success. Favreau and Vaughn have since done many projects together. Jon went on to act in several other movies and television shows, but his first directorial success came in the Will Ferrell movie ‘Elf.’Jon is married to Joya Tillem, a physician at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, and the couple have three children together. They have been married since November 2000.
