Katherine Heigl Leaving Grey’s Anatomy!!

After months of waiting for its return, fans were finally satisfied when “Grey’s Anatomy” came back to the air after the writers’ strike. It was like the show had never left - still the same addictive drama and great cast. But could the television phenomenon be heading for a change? Rumor has it that Katherine Heigl, a.k.a. Izzie Stevens, is leaving the show to focus on her movie career.

After successes like “Knocked Up” and “27 Dresses”, the actress might be ready to do more. A source reveals,“She’s working really long hours and is ready to move on. She’s a smart one. She saw what can happen with someone like Jennifer Aniston, who was crazy successful on TV, but can’t seem to carry a film, and she tested the waters early.”

She’s already set to star in another romantic comedy, “The Ugly Truth”, opposite Gerard Butler.If she’s really making the move, I’d say better now than later. I’ve been getting annoyed with Izzie; she’s been so whiny lately, and that impression is carrying over into Heigl’s movie roles. Almost ruined “27 Dresses” for me.

But this isn’t the first time such rumors have haunted Katherine. Right after “Knocked Up” premiered and then again during “27 Dresses” reign at the box office, everyone was talking about Izzie’s exit from Seattle Grace. However, it looks like she’s stuck in her contract for at least a bit longer, so expect at least one more make out session with O’Malley before she leaves.
