Kelly Monaco On Dancing With The Stars

While everyone is talking about the big 100th episode of Dancing With The Stars tonight, the only female celebrity to win the coveted title, Kelly Monaco shared her thoughts Thursday night at TV Guide’s Sexiest Stars party in Hollywood.Kelly became the first and only female celebrity to win the ghastly title in the first season with Alec Mazo. Prior to that she was named Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month on April 1997. Kelly believes current front runner Kristi Yamaguchi and pro partner Mark Ballas have a real chance this time.

“I hope and pray that Kristi is going to be our girl to carry it through and take it home. But I get nervous about her coming out of the gate too strong. In the history of the show, those who have been on top in popularity and come out strong tend to fall back toward the end.”Kelly Monaco was born on May 23, 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania so her age is 31. She spent some of her early years working as a lifeguard but gave it up when she discovered the world of modeling and headed to Los Angeles.

She did a title role on the popular soap, Port Charles, where she earned a Daytime Emmy award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Another show, which really made her a prominent face in the soap-opera scene was General Hospital, on which she still portrays Sam McCall.Kelly has also graced the covers of FHM and Maxim Magazine besides becoming the Playmate of the Month for April 1997.
