McKenzie Is the Winner Of “I Know My Kid’s a Star”

McKenzie is the winner of Vh1’s latest reality show, “I Know My Kid’s a Star,” where they are looking for the next big thing. Isn’t it ironic that Vh1 aired ‘Kid Star Parents Exposed’ right after the finale. Hopefully, McKenzie isn’t headed down that road.The show brought mother/child teams from all across the country to compete in tasks to win the coveted final prize: a shot at stardom. The winner received an agent, national tv exposure, and $50,000 in prize money. Sounds great until you watch the parents competing in this thing. They were all mostly overbearing, self-promoters, who were living their dream through their child. Winner McKenzie and her mom Shannon did seem the most sane of the group.

Here is what McKenzie had to say about starring on the show:Doing the show was absolutely fantastic. My favorite challenge was the very last challenge because I got to do my thing.Her mom of course says how shocked and happy she was, and it sounds like McKenzie was a little surprised.I was like oh my gosh, I actually did it. This was out of 10,000 kids and it narrowed it down to one. I was totally excited. I literally jumped on my mom.

McKenzie is quite the singer and is a cute little girl. Her mother was Little Miss Baton Rouge, Teen Miss Baton Rouge, Miss Baton Rouge, and Miss Louisiana 1993 so she obviously has the genes. McKenzie hasn’t moved to Hollywood yet, but look for her on your television in the future.
