Nick Hogan Not Doing Well In Jail
Nick Bollea is having a hard time adjusting to his new life in jail. The 17-year-old was recently sentenced to eight months in jail for his reckless car driving that left his friend, John Graziano in a permanent vegetative state.Nick’s family has been supportive, calling and visiting, but Nick is still having trouble coping. Calling his mother sobbing, as dealing with being in solitary confinement is all too much.
“I’m sorry to call you crying,” Nick Hogan says.
“No, its okay,” his Mom responds.
In the phone calls, Hogan complained about being held in a one man cell, which is required by jail policy because he is a minor.“I’m going crazy in this room,” Hogan says. “It’s like half the size of my bathroom, no windows or nothing, with just one little top-bed thing.”“Oh my god! I mean solitary confinement, is that what they do to like what, triple-x criminals, I mean, its like, for a car accident? Jesus!” Linda Hogan exclaims.
Officials stated that as a minor in an adult facility, Nick Bolloea would be held in a solitary cell by standard protocol. His celebrity status also contributed to the decision to hold him in such a cell. According to FOX13 News in Tampa, Nick Bollea claims in one of the taped phone calls that the cell he is being held in is not at all what his lawyer promised him.Nick needs to tread carefully now though, because if they do appeal his 8 month sentence, upon conviction he could face up to 5 years in prison. If Nick behaves, he can be released in October—maybe he should just “man up” and do his time.
