In the past, red hair has carried a stigma of unattractiveness. People have this idea that blondes have more fun, men prefer brunettes, and redheads have freckles that are cute only when they’re young. Well there are a handful of woman that have blown those theories out of the water. Marcia Cross is a wonderful actress known mostly for her role on “Desperate Housewives.” Marcia and her red hair have seen some controversy as there were widely published rumors that Marcia was gay. Marcia went as far as to appear on “The View” to announce her support of the gay community, but she was not a lesbian. Marcia has since married Tom Mahoney and the couple have twin daugthers. Nicole Kidman is the classic red head beauty. In 2006, she became one of the highest paid actresses in motion picture history. Her breakout role was in “Dead Calm” and Kidman went on to garner multiple Golden Globe nominations and win an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in “The Hours.” When you think of a beautiful Hollywood redhead, Nicole Kidman is definitely at the top of the list.
