Charmian Carr To Make Appearance In Laurelhurst Park

Charmian Carr, best known for playing Liesl Von Trapp in the film adaptation of The Sound of Music, is now 65 going on 66. Tomorrow she'll make an appearance in Laurelhurst Park to lead a singalong screening of the well-loved film and, we presume, pitch her personal lines of furniture and skin-care products. Little-known fact: Carr was, at one point, Michael Jackson's interior decorator."Liesl Von Trapp" comes to Portland this Saturday, August 30, for Portland Parks & Recreation's Big Screen on the Green outdoor movie at Laurelhurst Park.Actress Charmian Carr, who played the eldest Von Trapp daughter in "The Sound of Music," joins audience members for a sing-a-long presentation of the classic musical in Portland's historic Laurelhurst Park.Laurelhurst Park, SE 39th Avenue and Stark Street.
