Valerie Bertinelli Is Set for TBS Sitcom

Valerie Bertinelli is plotting a return to the sitcom biz, this time playing a single mother of two.The former “One Day at a Time” star has signed on to a still-untitled TBS pilot from Sony Pictures Television and writer-exec producer Dave Caplan.Bertinelli will play a woman who struggles to care for two kids and a lumber business after her husband walks out on her. She’ll also have a producer credit on the project. Caplan’s recent credits include TBS’ “The Bill Engvall Show,” as well as “The Drew Carey Show” and “George Lopez.”Bertinelli was most recently seen in Lifetime original pic “True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet.”
