Noel Gallagher Attacked On Stage

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher suffered bruising to his ribs and hip after being attacked by fan, Daniel Sullivan, while performing at the V Festival in Toronto this past weekend. The entire incident was caught on video and posted on youtube. You can watch the footage below.After being attacked, Noel Gallagher returned to the stage to finish the set for the fans, and went to the hospital directly after the concert. The injuries Gallagher sustained after falling into the speakers has forced the guitarist to take some time off to recover. Oasis canceled their London concert on September 9th, rescheduling for a date in December and offering refund to those unable to attend. The band has put the following message on the website:

“Following an incident during Oasis’ performance at the Virgin Festival in Toronto, when Noel was attacked by a stage invader Oasis are regrettably being forced to announce that tonight’s show in London, Ontario cannot go ahead as planned.Noel fell heavily onto his monitor speakers when he was pushed suddenly from behind by his attacker and suffered bruising to his ribs and hip. He was examined in a local hospital after the band’s performance and has been advised to rest.Unfortunately, despite resting up yesterday, the extent of his injuries mean he will not be able to perform tonight.”
