Natasha Richardson Critically Injured in Skiing Accident
Natasha Richardson, who has been critically injured in a skiing accident in Mont Tremblant, Canada, is a scion of the Redgrave acting dynasty and the wife of Irish star Liam Neeson.She is the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and the actor and director Tony Richardson, the granddaughter of Sir Michael Redgrave and the sister of Nip/Tuck's Joely Richardson.
Natasha Richardson is in a Montreal hospital after suffering head injuries during a ski accident, Canadian media reported Tuesday.Richardson’s husband, Liam Neeson, left a Toronto movie shoot for Atom Egoyan's "Chloe" to be at her side in Montreal, the CTV network reported.Richardson suffered her injuries while skiing at Mont Tremblant in Quebec and is believed to be at the Hospital du Sacre-Coeur in Montreal.
"We know that she has had an accident but we really do not know any more details," said Kika Markham, who is married to Richardson's uncle, Corin Redgrave. "We are very concerned."Mont Tremblant said Richardson fell on a beginners trail during a ski lesson and later reported not felling well.The ski resort said the ski instructor and a ski patrol accompanied Richardson to her hotel, where they again recommended she should be seen by a doctor.
"Approximately an hour after the incident Mrs. Richardson was not feeling good," a statement from the resort said.Mont Tremblant spokeswoman Catherine Lacasse said Richardson was getting a private lesson and that she said she was fine at first."An hour later she said she didn't feel well. She had a headache, so we sent her to the hospital," Lacasse said. "There were no signs of impact and no blood, nothing."

We're told she was having a private lesson on a green slope (beginner) at a ski resort in Quebec, Canada. She fell -- we're not sure why.
