Dan Miller,WSMV Anchor Passed Away at Age 67
Channel 4 news anchor Dan Miller has died of an apparent heart atack. He was 67.Miller was the long time and well know face and newsman of WSMV Channel 4.Miller joined Sportcaster Rudy Kalis and Terry Bulger for the practice rounds of the Masters in Augusta this week.Last night he suffered an apparent heart attack and could not be revived.
Miller was a native of Augusta and worked in TV there and Columbia, SC before moving to Nashville in 1969.Miller has been a fixture of Nashville television even though he spent a small amount of time in Los Angeles. In LA he was an anchor at KCBS and worked with his longtime friend and former WSMV weatherman Pat Sajak on the CBS late night Pat Sajak show.
Miller came back to Nashville in the mid 90's and has been there since.Arrangements have not been made at this time. He is survived by his wife Karen and has four children and two grandchildren.
