She is in the news today as she was announced as the host of 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards, which will be aired nationally in HD for the first time.Cuban actress Aylin Mujica, is set to host the 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards live from The BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The big news is that the award show will air live in High Definition on Telemundo, which is the first Hispanic network to broadcast in true HD. Performers include Banda El Recodo, Cristian Castro, La Quinta Estacion King of Reggaeton, Don Omar and the Golden Girl, and Paulina Rubio. The night is set to be a sexy, spicy Latina event you don’t want to miss! The event will take place on Thursday, April 23 at 7PM/6c.

Aylín Mújica was born on November, 24 1974, making her age 34. She is a Cuban-born actress, model, and ballet dancer. She began modeling at the age of 13, which eventually led to work as an actress. She has appeared on several Mexican television shows including TV Azteca’s morning weekend TV Show “Tempranito” and Televisa’s “La Dueña.”

Mujica began working for Telemundo in 2006 starring in the telenovela, Marina. She currently stars as Lorena in Sin Senos no hay Paraiso. Telemundo plans to have her star in a new telenovela, where she will appear with Rolando Fernandez, Joshua Mintz, Juan Delgado, Raul Xumalin, Cristina Scarano and Ana Vazquez in a guest-starring role.
