Kris Allen Sings “All She Wants to Do is Dance” on American Idol 8

Kris Allen chose to sing an 1985 song with which I am very familiar, “All She Wants To Do Is Dance” and it was pretty modernized. He really added a revamped baseline and, while it wasn’t as extraordinary as his performances these past couple weeks, it was still pretty good.

Kara said that she was happy he picked an uptempo number but felt that it sounded more like a music assignment than the youthful performance that he needed to deliver. Paula said that Kris is one of the most likable contestants ever. Simon said it was indulgent, boring and forgettable. He said that it was a stupid song choice.
