Lindsay Lohan has been going through a difficult time recently but the actress put her troubles aside and was all smiles as she attended a launch party for Armani Xchange watches last night.The 22-year-old, dressed in a white and gold figure hugging mini dress and black sandals, put on a brave face as she posed for photographers at the event at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.

The Mean Girls star's behaviour has been increasingly erratic since her relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson came to a dramatic end two weeks ago, sparking concerns about her mental state.However her mother Dina, who attended the party with her, described the controversy as 'ridiculous' before revealing that it was she who persuaded Lindsay to post a good-humoured spoof singles ad on the Funny Or Die website that mocked the break-up.

'The hype is ridiculous so we decided to kind of make fun of it,' Dina is quoted as telling Entertainment Tonight.'I said 'Lindsay let's just do funnyordie.com and just kind of make fun of it all.' It's really gotten out of hand, the rumors and everything that they're saying about myself and my children.'Last week, Lindsay marked her tumultuous time by getting a new tattoo inspired by tragic Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe.
