Married life is certainly agreeing with Mariah Carey.Spotted showing off a curvier frame at the Cannes Film Festival over the weekend, the award-winning singer appears to have succumbed to the newlywed curse of piling on the pounds after marrying.Leaving her hotel on the French Riviera with husband Nick Cannon on Sunday, Mariah appeared to have the definition in her arms as she showed off her physique in an orange halterneck maxi dress.

When the 40-year-old first started dating her now-husband Nick, 28, in March 2008, she was slim and toned thanks to daily workout sessions in her swimming pool.But clearly feeling more comfortable and secure in life now she's married, Mariah recently admitted she had put on 'few pounds', but was resuming her fitness plan again after several months off.

Writing on her Twitter micro-blogging page last month, Mariah denied reports she was pregnant: 'If I gained a few pounds... My trainer's back living with me.'Throughout her career, Mariah has always paid more attention to her music than her figure, branding the media's obsession with weight 'ridiculous'.
