Kate Voegele To Perform In Springfield

Kate Voegele, a 21-year-old singer-songwriter, will play at 8 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Randy Bacon Photography Studio and Gallery. Voegele is currently touring in support of her debut MySpace Records album, Dont Look Away. Voegele is the first artist to be signed to MySpace Records.

The singer's tour coincides with her Jan. 22 debut on the TV series One Tree Hill, where she will play Mia, a local artist who gets signed to a record deal. On the show, her character is introduced as a member of a band fronted by a character played by Kevin Federline. Voegele�s character, Mia, will perform several songs from Voegele's real-life album on the show.Voegele was spotlighted on Billboard magazine's Best Bets for 2008 feature and she has appeared on the cover of USA Today. In the past two years, she's performed in two Farm Aid concerts and shared stages with the likes of John Mayer, Dave Matthews, The Wreckers, Ben Lee and many more.
