America Ferrera Is Engaged!!

“Ugly Betty” star America Ferrera has sparked rumors of being engaged after being spotted wearing a diamond ring on that all-important finger. Has boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams really proposed, or is it part of the television show’s script?America and Ryan met in film school after he asked her to star in one of his student movies. Ryan continues to direct with Steven Soderbergh. They live together in Los Angeles with their dog Buddy, a golden retriever. And if that potential engagement ring is any indication, it looks like they’ll continue to share a home for some time to come.

But E! Online tries to put the rumors to rest, saying the diamond ring is part of her on-set costume. America’s rep told the news outlet that it’s “not true” that America and Ryan are engaged. But she wouldn’t say which of Betty’s boyfriends asked her to marry him, either. I guess we’ll have to wait and see whether the engagement is part of the television show and if so, who the lucky guy is.
