Madchen Amick is a Gossip Girl?

Beautiful actress Madchen Amick, who has been photographed on-set, is rumored to be playing a much-older romantic interest to “Gossip Girl” cutie Chace Crawford in upcoming episodes of the hit series.This might mean a break for an actress who, after a successful start in television, has appeared in countless small roles and failed series.

Born December 12th, 1970 in Nevada. Her measurements are 33-23-33. Madchen, which means, simply, “girl” in German, was immensely talented even at a young age. She played the piano, bass, violin and guitar as well practiced tap, ballet, jazz and modern dancing. In 1987 at the age of 16, she traveled to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

After losing out to another girl for a minor role in “Star Trek: Generations,” Madchen’s big break came in 1990 when she was cast in the David Lynch classic television series, “Twin Peaks.” She played the memorable character of Shelly Johnson, and went on to reprise the role in the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.

Following her early success, she continued a string of appearances in such shows as “Dawson’s Creek,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Ed,” “ER,” and “Joey.” She also starred opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. in the short-lived series “Freddie,” during which she became close friends with Freddie’s wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar. After the recent series “Viva Laughlin” failed to catch on with audiences or critics, it now appears that Madchen has taken a role with the very popular “Gossip Girl.”
