2008 MTV Video Music Award Winners

The 2008 MTV Music Video Awards airs this weekend, with awesome performances and celebrity appearances.My favorite award show of the year is this weekend and MTV has a full star studded lineup. It wasconfirmed earlier this week that Britney Spears will open the show, which I am sure many of you, including myself, are excited to see. She seems to be healthy again, so it should be a positive experience.

MTV is advertising the night as “Music. Mayhem. Music. For one night only.” Very exciting, you can always count on something shocking to happen. Russell Brand is hosting the 2008 Music Awards, and he has just revealed a bunch more performers and presenters.Rihanna will open the show; she and T.I. will debut their new duet for the first time. Christina Aguilera will be performing a special rendition of “Genie in a Bottle” in her first televised performance since giving birth. Kanye West will close the show, in what is said to be an explosive finale. Appearances include; Travis Barker, Lauren Conrad, High School Musical 3 Cast, Miley Cyrus, Michael Phelps and many, many more.The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards will be televised live from Paramount Pictures on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 9PM (ET/PT).
