It's true that when Tila and Bobby reunited at the Final Round reunion special for the first time since she chose a partner with external genitalia, they seemed genuinely excited to see each other. But love is fleeting, and absence makes the heart grow...hornier. Or something. And I really have to question the longevity of a relationship which was decided partly by how well a person could wolf down a pair of bull's testicles or how much chocolate sauce he could accumulate on his body.

Carrie Underwood To Perform On Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve

American Idol winner and country music star Carrie Underwood will perform live from Times Square during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2008. The special airs Monday, December 31 on ABC. Ryan Seacrest, also of American Idol fame, will serve as co-host with Dick Clark.Besides winning American Idol, Carrie Underwood has won two Grammys, four CMA Awards, five ACM Awards, four American Music Awards, eight Billboard Music Awards, four CMT Awards and two People’s Choice Awards . Underwood’s new album “Carnival Ride” sold over half a million copies in the first week.

In addition to Carrie Underwood,Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus will also spend New Year's Eve on the ABC-TV special, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2008. Actress Jennifer Siebel Is Engaged

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom proposed to actress Jennifer Siebel in Hawaii over the weekend and the couple are now engaged to be married, sources said today.One of Newsom’s closest friends, high society party planner Stanlee Gatti, confirmed their engagement. The mayor’s spokesman, Nathan Ballard, said the mayor popped the question Saturday.

“Jennifer told me (about it). She was on the phone first, and then he got on the phone,” said Gatti, reached in Raton, N.M., where he was on vacation.Gatti had no details about the proposal, other than Newsom spoke with his girlfriend’s father first and then proposed marriage. No wedding date has been set, Gatti said.

It will be the second marriage for Newsom, 40, one of the Bay Area’s most eligible bachelors, and the first for Siebel, 33. In December 2001, Newsom married lawyer-TV commentator Kimberly Guilfoyle in a lavish wedding at St. Ignatius Church followed by a reception for 500 at the home of billionaire philanthropists Ann and Gordon Getty. Before meeting Siebel, Newsom briefly dated “CSI: Miami” star Sofia Milos. Siebel, an aspiring Hollywood actress, was raised in Ross, where her parents still live, and attended private Branson School preparatory school and graduated from Stanford University, where she also earned a graduate degree in business.

Lincoln Center observed one of its longtime traditions: the Gala opening concert of the new season of the New York Philharmonic. On December 31 we'll re-invent another longtime Live From Lincoln Center tradition: the Gala New Year's Eve concert by the New York Philharmonic. Music Director Lorin Maazel will be on the podium for a program of music appropriate for the festive occasion, and the guest artist will be the acclaimed violinist, Joshua Bell.

Joshua Bell was brought up in Bloomington, Indiana, where his father was a Professor at Indiana University. I.U., as it is known in academia, is an extraordinary university, with a School of Music that is world-renowned. Britney Spears former husband Kevin Federline and her old party pal Paris Hilton were in Las Vegas together on Saturday night. The duo hit up LAX at the Luxor, where Hilton is set to host the New Year's Eve celebration, and by the look of things, Paris and K-Fed had a great time.

At this time last year, Britney and Paris were party pals, hitting up all of the Las Vegas nightspots while Britney was sighted flashing the paparazzi on her way to a very tough year in the media. Paris would later wind up in the LA County jail.Britney would eventually lose custody of her kids to K-Fed and certainly he has seemed like the more stable of the two parents. The couple has two kids together, Sean Preston and Jayden James and thanks to a Los Angeles court, they are now living with Kevin most of the time while Britney gets some visitation.

It may even get more interesting as the long New Year's weekend moves along as Paris and Nicky Hilton, DJ AM, Criss Angel (another one time rumored Britney love) and the ex Kevin Federline are all scheduled for the LAX New Year's Eve bash.

Arthur Christopher Orme Plummer is a Canadian theatre, film and television actor. In a career that spans over five decades and includes substantial roles in film, television, and theater, Plummer is perhaps best known for the iconic role of Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music.

Plummer began his professional career on stage and radio in both French and English. Charmian Carr (Celebrity In Spotlight)

Charmian Carr is best known for her role as Liesl, the eldest Von Trapp daughter in The Sound of Music where she starred with Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Nicholas Hammond, Heather Menzies, Duane Chase, Angela Cartwright, Debbie Turner, and Kym Karath.

Carr is the second child of vaudeville actress Rita Oehman and musician Brian Farnon who named her Charmian after a character from Shakespeare's play Antony and Cleopatra. While attending college part-time and working for a doctor, her mother got her an audition for a role in The Sound of Music. Charmian's mother never even asked her if she wanted to try out for the part, but she grew up in a show business family and she knew that for her getting a part in a film would be a much bigger deal for her mother than earning a college diploma.

While publicising the film after release, she met and married Jay Brent in May of 1967 and had two daughters, Jennifer and Emily. The marriage lasted until 1991.On December 12th, 2007, Carr made a rare television appearance as a guest on Loose Women where she shared some of her memories of making The Sound of Music with the hosts.

Vegas Confidential has learned Pamela Anderson has informed the owners of Company American Bistro that she and her husband Rick Salomon will cancel their New Year's Eve dinner plans if illusionist Criss Angel is in the restaurant at the same time.

We hear Salomon has issues with Angel, the star of "Mindfreak" and Cirque du Soleil's upcoming show at Luxor.Photos of Angel getting cozy with Anderson reportedly led to the blowup that resulted in Anderson filing divorce papers in mid-December.

Jessica Simpson Collection to Include Childrens Line

Jessica Simpson’s clothing line is set to design children’s footwear. Stride Rite Corp. announced Tuesday that they entered a global licensing agreement with Camuto Group, which distributes Simpson’s collection. The footwear company says a new line for children will be designed and ready in 2008. Stride Rite officials say the line will be available in major department stores, specialty retailers, and Stride Rite stores nationwide beginning in 2008’s holiday season.

Simpson’s clothing line maybe a success but her latest film is not. ‘Blonde Ambition’ was put on limited release in Texas theaters only. The film, which also starred Luke Wilson, is said to have brought in less than $400 its opening weekend. Meanwhile, the singer is dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. She recently accompanied him on a radio interview in Texas. The pair were first linked when Romo spent Thanksgiving with the Simpson family.

Rebecca De Mornay Charged With DUI

Rebecca De Mornay has been charged with misdemeanor drunken driving following her arrest two months ago.The "Risky Business" actress was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and one count of driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit of .08, a Los Angeles District Attorney's spokeswoman said Thursday.

De Mornay was arrested Oct. 30 for a traffic violation in Beverly Hills when officers smelled alcohol on her breath. Cops pulled over the 48-year-old actress on Sunset Blvd. on the night before Halloween. During the stop, cops told TMZ they "immediately detected an odor of alcoholic beverages." They told us De Mornay was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, which she failed.

De Mornay is best known for playing the prostitute who befriends Tom Cruise's high school student in the 1983 film "Risky Business." Her other screen credits include "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle," "Backdraft" and "Lords of Dogtown."She recently appeared in the HBO drama "John From Cincinnati."

Jeanne Carmen Dies

Jeanne Carmen, the "little country girl" who became a 1950s pinup and actress and hobnobbed with Frank Sinatra and other stars, has died. She was 77.Carmen died of lymphoma Thursday at her Orange County home, said her son, Brandon James.

Carmen was still a teenager when she came to New York and, despite having no show business experience, immediately became a dancer in a Broadway show called "Burlesque," with comic Burt Lahr.She later went into modeling, gaining a measure of success with a series of cheesecake shots in men's magazines. One gig turned into a new career as a trick golfer. On tour with golfer Jack Redmond, she would perform stunts such as hitting a ball out of a man's mouth.

She came to Hollywood while still in her 20s, where she appeared in low-budget movies with such titles as "Guns Don't Argue" and "The Monster of Piedras Blancas."Carmen also claimed to have had affairs with Sinatra and other celebrities.

George Robert "Bob" Newhart is an American stand-up comedian and actor.Bob Newhart was born in Oak Park, Illinois to George David Newhart and Julia Pauline Burns. Newhart attended Loyola University of Chicago in Oak Park, graduating in 1952 with a bachelor's degree in business management. He was drafted in the U.S. Army and served stateside during the Korean War until discharged in 1954.

In 1958 he became an advertising copywriter for Fred A. Niles, a major independent film and television producer in Chicago. It was at the company that he and a coworker would entertain each other in long telephone calls which they would record then send to a radio station as audition tapes. The auditions led to his break-through recording contract. A disc jockey at the radio station -- Dan Sorkin, who later became the announcer-sidekick on his NBC series -- introduced Newhart to the head of talent at Warner Bros. Records, which signed him only a year after the label was formed, based solely on those recordings.

His 1960 comedy album, The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart, went straight to number one on the charts, beating Elvis Presley and the cast album of The Sound of Music. Button Down Mind received the 1961 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Newhart also won Best New Artist, and his quickly-released follow-on album, The Button-Down Mind Strikes Back, won Best Comedy Performance - Spoken Word that same year.Subsequent comedy albums include Behind the Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart (1961), The Button-Down Mind on TV (1962), Bob Newhart Faces Bob Newhart (1964), The Windmills Are Weakening (1965), This Is It (1967), Best of Bob Newhart (1971), and Very Funny Bob Newhart (1973).

Newhart's success in stand-up led to his own NBC variety show in 1961, The Bob Newhart Show. This year's edition of the honors, invariably a mixed bag in its tributes, delivers a couple of transcendent moments: Steve Carell's riotous turn honoring Steve Martin, and the simple loveliness of a boys choir serenading the stoic Beach Boys mastermind Brian Wilson while beach balls descend from the rafters to be joyously batted around by the black-tie crowd. Although scheduled in recent years as more an obligation than an event, the honors remain one of TV's classiest evenings.

Fleisher also uncovered old piano pieces written for one hand and he started playing for audiences again. He made one triumphant two-handed appearance for the opening of the Meyerhoff in the early 80s, but it wasn't until 2001 that the man, his hands and his music became whole again. "Aliens vs. Predator" Back In Deadly Sequel Starring Kristen Hager

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (also known as AVP: R or AVP: 2), and in development called Aliens vs. Predator: Survival of the Fittest, is the sequel to 2004's Alien vs. Predator film. Filming began on September 25, 2006 in Vancouver with Tom Woodruff, Jr. and Alec Gillis from Amalgamated Dynamics handling the special effects and Daniel Pearl as director of photography. The Brothers Strause (Colin and Greg Strause) have directed the movie from a script by Shane Salerno.Actors Steven Pasquale and Reiko Aylesworth will play leading roles in the film.Kristen Hager also stars in the movie.

The first "AVP" pairing in 2004 at least played the monster mash for camp humor. Yet this new film, which opened as counter-programming on Christmas Day, sends the space creatures and their human victims through an antediluvian small-town-under-siege plot that was so nicely satirized this year in Robert Rodriguez's "Planet Terror" portion of "Grindhouse."AVP" grossed $80 million domestically but "Requiem" is unlikely to stir that kind of interest. The old A and P monsters just aren't what they used to be. Familiarity has done them in.

In the new sequel Aliens cause a Predator spacecraft to crash near the small Colorado mountain town of Gunnison, killing the Predator pilot. Another Predator follows his pal, discovers him dead, gets all emotional, then goes on an Alien hunting trip. He certainly has many targets.

The town's sheriff (John Ortiz) is overwhelmed. In fact, he is so nuts he keeps bringing along an ex-con (Steven Pasquale), just out of prison, on all his investigations. The ex-con's younger brother (Johnny Lewis) is fighting off the town bully over a girl (Kristen Hager) but all is swiftly forgotten as the teens get dispatched one by one.

Miss France Valerie Begue Was Asked To Hand Back Her Crown

Valerie Begue has been told she should immediately take off her Miss France crown because of suggestive pictures published by a French magazine. Valerie Begue, who comes from the French-run, Indian Ocean island of Reunion, was elected Miss France 2008 on prime time television earlier this month. She has ruled out standing down, saying the pictures were published without her consent.

Ms Begue - who became Miss France less than a fortnight ago - refused to resign, saying she had been betrayed. She had returned on Thursday to an enthusiastic welcome on the Indian Ocean island of Reunion.

Before the competition, contestants guarantee that they have never been photographed in compromising positions. One of the pictures shows her licking yoghurt provocatively, while another has her floating on a wooden cross in a swimming pool.

The President of the Miss France contest, Genevieve de Fontenay, went on French radio to insist that Valerie Begue would have to stand down. If she did not, Ms de Fontenay said she would be stripped of her crown.

Clash of the Choirs Winner Is Team Nick Lachey

Youngstown native Le Shawn Tucker helped his choir win first place in “Clash of the Choirs.”The winner was revealed at the conclusion of the four-part NBC holiday mini-series Thursday night.It all started with five choirs: Team Cincinnati, led by Nick Lachey; Team Philadelphia, led by Patti LaBelle; Team New Haven, led by Michael Bolton; Team Oklahoma City, led by Blake Shelton; and Team Houston, led by Kelly Rowland.

Tucker, who sang a solo during his choir’s performance Thursday night, was on the choir headed by singing star Nick Lachey. The choir, which represented Lachey’s hometown of Cincinnati, beat those of other two singing stars in the final round: Patti LaBelle’s Philadelphia choir and Blake Shelton’s Oklahoma City, Okla., choir.

The victory by Lachey’s choir means that Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati will receive a check for $250,000 from the show.Tucker, a 2002 graduate of Chaney High School in Youngstown, is a senior at Wright State University in Dayton.

Blake Shelton and Patti LaBelle Star In "Clash of the Choirs”

Blake Shelton is making a list and checking it twice -- mainly to figure out where he'll be during the holiday season. In addition to visiting his family in Oklahoma and relatives of his girlfriend, singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert in Texas, he'll also be performing New Year's Eve in Kentucky.

Before any of that happens, though, he'll be spending several days in New York City to work on the TV reality series, Clash of the Choirs, which runs Monday through Thursday nights (Dec. 17-20) on NBC. The competition centers around five celebrities who returned to their hometowns to form an amateur choir to compete live as viewers judge the nightly performances.

NBC reality show “Clash of the Choirs” airs Monday with big names in the music industry; among them, Michael Bolton from New Haven, Nick Lachey from Cincinnati, Kelly Rowland from Houston and Blake Shelton from Oklahoma City, and Patti LaBelle from Philadelphia. The five choirs that compete in this reality show will donate the earnings to charity, for hometown causes. The four-night-in-a-row live show awards a community prize and each of the five starts is supposed to choose 20 people to be in their choir.

Patti LaBelle is also looking forward to the show, and encourages her choir the best way she can; “Scream like a woman with a black man chasing you, trying to get your purse,” said LaBelle in a press conference over the phone. Biggest Loser Season 4 Winner

Last night NBC aired the final episode of The Biggest Loser Season 4, and the transformations were astonishing! Host Alison Sweeney (a.k.a., Sammy Brady from Days of Our Lives) kicked the show off by announcing that the 14 contestants who were voted off would weigh in to see which one of them lost the most weight, and the one with the biggest weight loss would take home $100,000!

After a look back at when all of the contestants first stepped foot on The Biggest Loser Campus, the 14 contestants entered (one by one) and showed off their new bodies. Soon after, they all made their way onto The Biggest Loser scale for one last weigh-in, but this weigh-in would determine the $100,000 winner, and that winner was Jim! Jim lost a whopping 186lbs.! Jim started The Biggest Loser at 361lbs., and last night he weighed-in at 175lbs.

Soon after seeing how much the final four had changed and hearing about their accomplishments since leaving The Biggest Loser, they all weighed in to see who would take home the title of The Biggest Loser for season 4 as well as the grand prize: $250,000.

Finally, several montages later, it was time to weigh in the final four. Bill got to decide the order since he was The Biggest Loser before leaving the campus. He decides to go from youngest to oldest, putting Isabeau first, who loses 113 pounds. Hollie loses 105 pounds, bringing her weight down to 150. Julie is third to hit the scale and loses 97 pounds, putting her in first place. It's all up to Bill now. He loses 164 pounds and is named The Biggest Loser!! The twins did it!

Anna Chakvetadze Robbed In Moscow

Russian tennis star Anna Chakvetadze was tied up by masked robbers who broke into her home yesterday and stole money and items worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, her father told a Russian television network.
Chakvetadze, a 2007 U.S. Open semifinalist who is ranked sixth in the world, was bound for 30 minutes in her home outside Moscow but not seriously hurt, NTV reported.

Six assailants approached the home before dawn, tied up a maid in another building, and forced her to hand over a remote control enabling them to enter the house through the garage, her father told NTV.

The robbers took about $106,000 in cash as well as jewelry and other items worth about $200,000, the network said. Moscow region police did not answer phone calls seeking comment.Chakvetadze, 20, won four singles titles and about $1.4 million in prize money in 2007.

John Berg Commits Suicide

John Berg, a popular television actor in shows ranging from “House M.D.” and “Monk” to soap operas such as “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless” was found dead in his Van Nuys, California home on Sunday.

According to the California authorities, Berg committed suicide in his Van Nuys home. "He died as a result of suicide from suffocation. A Hibachi grill was used inside his bedroom. It's a fairly common form of suicide where it's put inside an enclosed space and then lit up. The victim succumbed to carbon monoxide fumes," was the statement of the coroner's office.

No suicide not was found at the scene and the actor's motives to end his life remain unknown. The body of John Berg was discovered on Sunday in the afternoon, when the police visited the home of the actor for a "welfare check." John Berg has made many TV appearances, most recently on the shows "Monk", "Boston Legal", "House M.D.", "Star Trek: Nemesis" and "Law & Order".

Another Spears baby is reportedly on the way — and it's not Britney's. Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old "Zoey 101" star and sister of Britney Spears, told OK! magazine that she's pregnant and that the father is her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge.

Jamie Lynn Spears is 12 weeks along and initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine, which hits stands in New York on Wednesday and the rest of the country by Friday.

After she found out from a doctor that she was pregnant, she said, "I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody.""Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Flatley Wins Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Tyna Marie Robertson

Tyna Marie Robertson who accused dancer Michael Flatley of sexual assault has been ordered to pay him more than $11 million for making false allegations to extort money from him, according to documents obtained Monday.

Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern found that real estate agent Tyna Marie Robertson had defamed and intentionally inflicted emotional distress upon Flatley, 49, who appeared in "Riverdance," "Lord of the Dance," "Feet of Flames" and "Celtic Tiger."

Robertson had alleged Flatley raped her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2002 and threatened to sue unless he agreed to pay a "seven figures" settlement, according to court papers.

Police declined to press criminal charges, and Flatley said the sex was consensual.Robertson then filed a $33 million lawsuit in Illinois alleging sexual assault, but it was dismissed.

Before graduating from Santa Monica High School in 1980, Estevez had already acted as his famous father's stand-in on the set of Apocalypse Now (1979), and also had a small role as a messenger boy that was ultimately cut from the film.

Estévez was briefly married to singer-choreographer Paula Abdul. He has two children with an ex-girlfriend, model Carey Salley. They have a son, Taylor Levi Estévez and a daughter, Paloma Rae Estévez.

Estevez is perhaps most famous as part of the 1980s Brat Pack group of actors, having starred in The Breakfast Club, Young Guns, and St. Elmo's Fire (1985). He also appeared in the cult film Repo Man (1984), as the punk-rocker turned car-repossessor Otto. Estévez is probably most recognizable among younger audiences for his role in The Mighty Ducks movie series. Most recently, he has directed episodes of the TV series, Cold Case, Close to Home, The Guardian and CSI: NY. Films he has directed include, Wisdom, Men at Work, The War at Home and Bobby. Estevez has also stated that he will direct and star in an independent film called "The Bang Bang Club". He also starred in the "Outsiders".

He appeared in a few TV movies, the first of which was Seventeen Going on Nowhere (1980)(TV), before making his big-screen debut opposite 'Matt Dillon' in 1982's Tex (1982). A part in The Outsiders (1983) followed, and Estevez made his first big splash as the punk rocker Otto in the cult classic Repo Man (1984).

I Love New York 2 Finale: Tailor Made Wins Heart

The finale of “I Love New York 2” concluded on Monday night and New York, aka Tiffany Pollard, opted for the puppy dog Tailor Made rather than the pit bull Buddah as her new beau.

Heading into the finale New York couldn’t have had two more different men in the love competition and while Buddha may have won the physical battle he had with Tailor Made earlier in the season, it was the sharp dressed man that won the war in the end.

Tiffany Pollard has had her fill of reality shows, twice she appeared on the VH1 series “Flavor of Love” in an attempt to win the heart of Flavor Flav, a member of the ground-breaking rap group Public Enemy and she had her own series “I Love New York” last year but the results didn’t turn out the way she wanted.
