Selena Roberts, Sports Illustrated Reporter Accused of Stalking Alex Rodriguez

Selena Roberts, Sports Illustrated Reporter Accused of Stalking Alex Rodriguez

Selena Roberts, the competent Sports Illustrated reporter who was accused of stalking Alex Rodriguez by A-Rod himself. You are not here to see Sports Illustrated swimsuit photos because she does not have any, but she is a respected lady who is working hard to make a buck.Ms. Roberts is the Sports Illustrated reporter who broke the steroids story by revealing to the world that A-Rod tested positive for steroids in 2003. Instead of congratulating her on a job well done, Alex Rodriguez came unglued.

Rodriguez also criticized Sports Illustrated and said Selena Roberts, one of its reporters who covered the story, stalked him. He also accused Roberts of trying to break into his home last week while his two daughters were sleeping.“What makes me upset is that Sports Illustrated pays this lady, Selena Roberts, to stalk me.”“There are some really respectable journalists that are following this lady off a cliff.”

Selena Roberts is a respected journalist. Not only is she a Sports Illustrated investigative journalist, she has written for the New York Times for 6 years. She has been a beat writer for basketball, baseball, and tennis. And she covered the recent Olympics.Earlier in her career, Ms. Roberts covered the Orlando Magic and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the Orlando Sentinel and the Minnesota Vikings for The Minneapolis Star Tribune. She also reported on auto racing including NASCAR racing.

As a black mark on her record, she was heavily criticized for her coverage of the Duke Lacrosse case in which she was reluctant to give the innocent players a fair hearing. She was born May 15, 1966 which makes her 42 years old. She currently lives in Westport, Connecticut. Ms. Roberts graduated from Auburn University in 1988 with a degree in journalism. She responded to A-Rod’s far-fetched allegations by responding in the following way:

“The allegations made by Alex Rodriguez are absurd,” said Roberts, in the statement. “I’ve never set foot in the lobby of Alex’s New York apartment building, never spoken to the University of Miami police, and never set foot on his home property or been cited by the Miami Police for doing so.”

A-Rod Spends Thanksgiving With Madonna

Alex Rodriguez & Madonna
Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez celebrated Thanksgiving with his family in Miami before heading off to spend time with Madonna just days after her preliminary divorce from Guy Ritchie was granted, according to reports.Rodriguez scored a front-row seat at Madonna's South Florida concert Wednesday night at Dolphin Stadium, where he helped the pop diva stay cool between numbers by passing her a bottle of water from his seat, E! reports.

But he other had obligations the next day. The New York Daily News reports that Rodriguez enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner in Miami Thursday afternoon with ex-wife Cynthia and daughters Natasha, 4, and Ella, 7 months.Reports surfaced earlier this week that Rodriguez was planning to abandon his children on Thanksgiving to spend time with Madonna in New York. However, a source tells PEOPLE this was never the case.

"He always had every intention of spending the holiday with Cynthia, the family, and his two daughters," the source says. "There was never any intention of him flying back. The allegations regarding this trip to New York [to be with Madonna] couldn't be anything farther from the truth," the source says.Instead, Madonna extended her Miami trip and the pair were able to spend the holiday together anyway. The Daily News says that Rodriguez rushed off to Star Island, where Madonna has a home, soon after wrapping up Thanksgiving dinner with his family.

Guitar Hero Commercial Featuring Heidi Klum

Guitar Hero Commercial Featuring Heidi Klum
Activision is pulling out all the stops for the October 26 release of Guitar Hero: World Tour with some Risky Business-inspired ads featuring well-known celebrities. Each ad will feature the rich and famous dancing about in their underpants and doing their best Tom Cruise impression to Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll" while playing different World Tour instruments or lip-syncing.

Debuting today, the first commercial features sports stars Kobe Bryant, Alex Rodriguez, Michael Phelps, and Tony Hawk "jamming" in a form reminiscent of the first "Risky Business" Guitar Hero ads starring American Idol alumni David Archuletta and David Cook.

Directed by Brett Ratner (X-Men: The Last Stand), these commercials were apparently produced to inspire everyone to "unleash their inner rock star." Ratner explains: "With the first Risky Business ads we wanted to excite fans by combining two pop culture sensations to create something even bigger. Those commercials were such a hit with Guitar Hero fans we decided to give them the same iconic 'living room rock star' moment they love, but as experienced with the new full band version of the game and with an entirely new cast of characters."

Activision and Ratner have no plans to stop there, though. According to Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, we can expect more commercials featuring actors and, uh...supermodels: "To appeal to the multi-generational Guitar Hero fans out there we tapped a wide range of athletes, actors, and even supermodels to unleash their inner rock stars and live out their rock and roll fantasies."

Supermodels. Yeah. For some reason I just cannot see someone like Tyra Banks or Heidi Klum playing Guitar Hero in real life, but then again commercials like these are pure fantasy.See Guitar Hero Commercial here.

Alex Rodriguez and his estranged wife Cynthia have settled their divorce, says the New York Daily News. The settlement brings an end to the ex-couple’s five year marriage, as well as their months-long public fallout which saw various reports link the Yankees all-star to Madonna.
"Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez have amicably resolved their dissolution of marriage proceedings," A-Rod’s lawyer, Alan Kluger, said in a statement.

Kluger didn’t divulge details of the settlement.Alex and Cynthia have two young daughters together. Last month, the NYDN reported that the ex-couple was quietly negotiating the divorce deal to protect their children.Prior to that, A-Rod filed court papers requesting that his prenup be enforced and that allegations of "extramarital affairs and other misconduct" be stricken from the record.Cynthia Rodriguez filed for divorce, claiming her husband was unfaithful and had "emotionally abandoned" her. The petition came soon after news reports linked A-Rod to Madonna. The Grammy winner denied she and the slugger were having an affair.
