It’s been just days since singer Rihanna’s former boyfriend Chris Brown was sentenced to five years probation and community service for assaulting her but, despite fears that the scandal might harm her image, it seems that she is bouncing back better than ever.The 21-year-old has returned to television screens as the face of CoverGirl just months after an ad campaign featuring her was pulled.

The make up giant stood by Rihanna after Brown was arrested after the attack on February 8.However the ads were deemed inappropriate when a picture of the singer’s bruised and battered face was posted on celebrity gossip site TMZ.The campaign, which contains the slogan ‘turn up the light in your eyes,’ has now been reinstated and is currently being shown in the US.

It shows the stunning star smiling happily whilst donning a gold mini-dress and fishnet tights.Earlier this week Brown was ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from the Disturbia star for the next five years except at public events, where the distance has been reduced to ten yards. Rihanna is not allowed to contact Brown either.

He will be formally sentenced in August and must also complete a year-long domestic violence course and pay fines.The Barbados born beauty spent weeks in hiding after the violent incident but has begun restoring her public life in recent months and is looking better than ever.The star's bruises have long since healed and her flawless complexion is back to its best.She has been throwing herself back into work since the incident and recently teamed up with rapper Kanye West in the video for his new track Paranoid.

Chris Brown Avoids Jail After Pleading Guilty to Assault on Rihanna

R&B singer Chris Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting his Rihanna yesterday and ordered to keep his distance from his ex-girlfriend.The 20-year-old entered his plea at a preliminary hearing, which meant that the Barbadian Umbrella singer, who wore a black dress and dark sunglasses to court, did not have to take the stand.

He will be formally sentenced later to six months' probation and 180 days of community service in his home state of Virginia as punishment, his lawyer said.Brown must also stay ten yards away from Rihanna, 21, at showbiz events and parties, and 50 yards from her at all other times.Rihanna arrived in court expecting to give evidence about the night she was attacked, bitten and choked by Brown in a car after a Grammys party in LA.

Yesterday's hearing in the city's Superior Court had been billed for weeks as a public face-off between the pair.Brown looked upset as he entered the room with his lawyer Mark Geragos. He took a chair and rested his head on his clenched hands.Geragos said the plea represented the singer taking responsibility for his actions on February 8.

After Brown left the courtroom, Rihanna entered and was addressed by Judge Patricia Schnegg, who explained to the singer that she had issued a stay-away order.Rihanna had not been seeking such an order.The order requires that Brown and Rihanna stay at least 50 yards from each other, except at showbiz parties and events when the distance is reduced to 10 yards..

In an interview, her father, Ronald Fenty,talked about the family’s pain over the Rihanna assault. “Justice can never be served in this situation…He can’t feel the pain she felt. What is known with certainty is that Chris Brown was arrested as a part of an investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery.Both Chris Brown and Rihanna canceled their performances at the 2009 Grammy Awards. Replacing them was a duet of “Let’s Stay Together” by Justin Timberlake and Al Green. Ironic though coincidental choice of songs in these circumstances.

That same night, February 8, 2009, Chris Brown was arrested. The arrest was confirmed by LAPD and caught on tape by TMZ.
