Marie Ann Thiebaud’s affair with Mutt Lange is the rumored reason behind he and Shania Twain’s divorce.Marie Ann Thiebaud is the longtime secretary and manager for the couple’s home in Switzerland. Rumors are rampant that she is the cause of the divorce.“Mutt and Marie Ann left their spouses for each other and are still in a relationship,” a source said, though Lange denied this allegation.

Mutt is emphatically denying the rumors and chalking this divorce up to “growing apart” after 14 years. Although, he seems to be the only one feeling this way. Shania is said to be “devastated. Mutt Lange Is Shania Twain’s Ex-Husband!!

Mutt Lange is a record producer, song writer and soon to be ex-husband of country singer Shania Twain.Lange and Twain have released a statement through their rep.“Shania Twain and her husband Robert “Mutt” Lange are separating after 14 years of marriage. This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time.”The couple were married on Dec. 28, 1993 after meeting six months earlier at Fan Fair. They have a six year old son, Eja D’Angelo.

Mutt Lange was born Robert Lange on November 16, 1948, which makes his age 59. Mutt is known for his work with rock groups like Def Leppard, AC/DC, Foreigner and The Cars. He also played a very prominent role in Shania’s rise to super stardom.Lange is responsible for producing all of Twain’s multi-platinum albums. They worked together writing all charting singles, except “You Win My Love” was written by only Lange, in the ten year span starting in 1995. Shania’s 1997 album, ‘Come on Over,’ which is certified 20-times platinum, is one of the best-selling albums in music history.

Lange is also known for staying out of the limelight.Mutt is a strict vegetarian and loves the outdoors. Lange and Twain recently donated over $21 million to build 29 km worth of track as part of the national Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand. They also gave hundreds of thousands of dollars for huts to be put on the land and conservation areas to be set aside.Twain said the land is “beautiful” and “is a great place to visit for inspiration and you go away recharged.”
