Now that Nick Lachy split with longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnilo and Jessica Simpson has split with football player Tony Romo, does that mean we could see Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson back together again?Don’t hold your breath. Just because both Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are newly single doesn’t necessarily mean it is a good idea for them to take another stab at a relationship.

And a family source says, “It won’t happen. They have no respect for him. Jessica has no respect for him. There is way too much bad blood between Nick and Joe for Jessica to even think about it.”But things with Romo weren’t easy. According to another source close to the Simpsons, “He wanted this perfect mold of the perfect football girlfriend. People don’t realize that Jessica has been worn down by Hollywood. She has insecurities and inner demons that she struggles with. She’s not some upbeat blond cheerleader that people want her to be. She’s gone through heartache before. She wants someone who is on the same page that she is. If she has to move on for that, she will.”

So while all you Newlyweds fans out there would love to see Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson back together, the odds of that happening are highly unlikely.

For a 25-year-old singer in the spotlight, Carrie Underwood has had her share of guy drama.The American Idol winner opens up in Allure's September issue about dating Dallas Cowboys player Tony Romo, Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford and a boyfriend who cheated on her in college."We were both small-town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame," she says of Romo. Papa Joe Simpson is basically ruining his daughter Jessica’s life. It’s been widely reported that an overbearing Joe was behind Jessica and boyfriend Tony Romo’s split. The couple has since gotten back together but with the understanding that Joe back off. Oops, someone forgot to tell Joe. A source told Us Weekly that Joe recently asked Tony to drop his agent so he could manage his NFL career and $67.5 million contract. Another source revealed to Us that Joe’s pressuring the couple to get married so he can sell the exclusive pictures to the tabloids:

“‘If you guys have a marriage, I can do the same [sell it] that I did with Ashlee,’” a source quotes Joe as saying.When asked for comment by Us, Joe defended himself, telling Us, “It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients. And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?”
