The Bachelor Winner is Melissa Rycroft :Jason Mesnick Dumps Molly

One hour and 45 minutes into ABC's 3-hour-long true love festival Monday, "The Bachelor" Jason Mesnick was doubled over, gasping for air after sending Molly Malaney, a 24-year-old Michigander, packing. Up strolled Melissa Rycroft, a 25-year-old former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, who screamed blissfully several times after Jason dropped to his knee, gave her a ring and that final red rose.

"I'm going to be a Mesnick!" Melissa said before she, Jason and his son Ty executed a carefree jump into a pool in formal wear. But wait! As predicted by mysterious blogger "Reality Steve," Jason reveals during the "After the Final Rose" that "the chemistry's been completely different" with Melissa once the cameras were off. He still loves Molly, he says through a fresh set of tears.So what did we learn Monday night? That Molly's heavy eye makeup is waterproof. That Melissa, a master of jumping on Jason and hugging him with her legs, tried but couldn't execute her signature move in a long yellow dress.

Neil Lane Engagement Ring Chosen For 'The Bachelor' Finale

The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick has just one rose left and two potential wives to choose between, yet while one major decision remains to be made, another has already been set in stone.On the season finale of the ABC reality show, taking place on Monday, March 2, Mesnick will propose with a hand-crafted Neil Lane marquise-cut diamond and platinum ring encrusted with 170 smaller diamonds. The diamonds add up to a total carat weight of 3.18, with the D-color, VS1-clarity center stone weighing in at 1.94 carats.

Mesnick chose the ring from three Neil Lane designs, each featuring a unique cut of diamonds, including oval and pear shapes.As is the show's tradition, Mesnick began courting 25 women on the season premiere episode, back in January. He has since narrowed the field down to two ladies: Molly, a 24-year-old department store buyer from Grand Rapids, Mich., and Melissa, a 25-year-old sales representative from Dallas.One of the lucky ladies will join the long list of brides who have worn Neil Lane engagement rings, including celebrities such as Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Hudson, Kate Hudson, Brooke Shields and Reese Witherspoon.

The Bachelor 13: Jason Mesnick is The Bachelor

On tonight’s 2 hour premiere of the ABC’s hit reality romance show The Bachelor, Jason Mesnick will be in the driver seat. After being rejected on last season’s Bachelorette finale, Jason Mesnick says his heart has healed and he is ready to find the woman of his dreams. Jason will meet the 25 beautiful bachelorettes for the first time tonight, but no one expects the surprise twist that will force the women to turn on eachother!

First, we are shown a glimpse of Jason Mesnick’s life in Seattle with his son Ty. He talks about the end of his seven year marriage and how it wasn’t his choice to get a divorce. Jason says his heart is completely healed after being rejected by Deanna Pappas on last season’s Bachelorette and he is ready to find love!

Jason Mesnick brings his brother and son Ty along with him to LA. The viewers get a sneak peek of the 25 bachelorettes and you can check out the complete list of ladies here. Jason gets ready to meet the ladies and says it will be a bittersweet experience for him. He thinks that having already been through this experience, he is better prepared to find the right one. Jason says this is the most exciting night of his life other than the birth of his child. When Jason arrives, Chris Harrison asks him if his memories here were good or bad and Jason says, “great.” They talk for a bit and Jason discusses how he has been able to move on and how Ty is his number one priority.When the first limo rolls up, Lauren is the first one out and she tells Jason it is actually her birthday and makes him guess how old she is. The next lady out is Kari who starts to talk a little too much. Then Melissa, the former cowboys cheerleader makes a good impression, followed by Sharon who immediately starts to salsa dance with him.
