Anne Hathaway Sizzles at Cartier Party In Hot Outfit

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, which may explain the impressive turnout of Hollywood's leading ladies at a Cartier party last night.The Devil Wears Prada star Anne Hathaway led the procession of glamorous actresses as the jewellery company celebrated its 100th anniversary in New York.All eyes in Fifth Avenue were on her incredibly long legs as she sashayed onto the red carpet in an amazingly short midnight blue dress by Louis Vuitton.

She also wore old-fashioned tights with seams that led all the down to a pair of towering peep-toe heels.Kate Hudson, who arrived dripping in sparkling jewels, wore a full length Rachel Roy gown that cut away at the sides while Eva Mendes opted for a demure but elegant Azzaro gold shift dress.Constant Gardener star Rachel Weisz stepped out in a strapless Prabal Gurung frock in cream and black, a colour combination that proved popular on the night.

Demi Moore wore a very similar confection by the same designer that also featured asymmetrical striped detailing and a black patent belt.The Charlie's Angel star earlier announced Cartier's partnership with American volunteer network ServiceNation.She described the evening as a 'great success' on her Twitter page today, and couldn't help but boast that she took home a 'goody bag too', a red Cartier bag which was no doubt full of expensive treats.It wasn't just Hollywood's female stars who turned out for the event - Elton John and Justin Timberlake also suited up for the occasion.

Lily Allen Assaults Elton John

The combined star power of Lily Allen and Elton John presenting the GQ Men of the Year Awards must have looked like a dream ticket on paper.But the two stars didn’t exactly see eye-to-eye at last night’s star-studded event at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.As the evening wore on, Lily’s state gradually deteriorated as she continually sipped champagne on stage.The 23-year-old, decked out in an extravagant ball gown, soon began slurring, swearing and ad-libbing - and it was only a matter of time before she had an all-too-public fall-out on stage with co-host Elton.

When she came to announce ‘…and now the most important part of the night’, Elton chipped in ‘What? Are you going to have another drink?’She fired back: ‘F*** off Elton. I am 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me!’The shocked audience fell silent.A clearly rattled Elton replied ‘I could still snort you under the table’. To which she replied: ‘F*** off. I don’t know what you are talking about.’On more than one occasion, Elton could be seen having a stern word with her in the wings between awards.She barely made it off the stage after the awards ended - before drinking even more at the afterparty.

Life Ball 2008 Photos

It was a star studded event at Life Ball 2008 Saturday in Vienna.The 2008 Life Ball took place at Vienna City Hall on Saturday. Since its inception in 1993, this incredible charity event has been dedicated to their fight against HIV and AIDS, and has raised millions of dollars for its cause.

Hollywood beauties Sharon Stone and Kim Cattrall were on hand for the annual gala, with this year’s theme - “Landing on Planet Life Ball”, depicting outer space and “embracing the alien“. Most definitely this was the place to be Saturday night, as hundreds of international celebrities partied till the early morning. Celebs like supermodel Linda Evangelista, Elton John, and Rose McGowan took part in the revelry.

There were “scantily clad aliens” everywhere (see more pictures below), and about 45,000 came to watch the fashion show, which traditionally kicks off the event. Celebrities and models did the catwalk thing (shaped like a red ribbon), wearing designs by Agent Provocateur, a lingerie label.Organizers of the event hoped to raise more than last year’s gala - $1.98 million.
