Tina Dico Is Danish Singer!

Tina Dico, the Danish singer-songwriter who is gorgeous to boot.Tina Dico is getting ready to release her 4th studio album, “Count to Ten”.Tina Dico was born October 14, 1977, in Aarhus, Denmark, so her age is 30. She grew up playing piano and playing in the music room her dad had. Though her passion has always been music, in 1998, Tina was cast in the Danish TV series “Karrusel”, which translates to “Circle of Desire” in English.Tina’s first musical group, Fester Kester, a cover band, entered and won two talent competitions. One of which, Talentspot, was aired on Danish television.

After starting her own record label Finest Gramophone, because she was unhappy with the way other labels were marketing her, Tina released her first indie album, “Fuel”, in 2001 and received critical acclaim. Feeling too comfortable in Denmark, Tina moved to London in 2002 to work on the follow-up effort, and along the way she sang on a couple Zero 7 tracks.In March 2006, Tina won Singer of the Year at the Danish Music Awards, and she’s even won a Grammy for Best Songwriter. She is described as having a “soft, yet powerful voice”. She “has an incredible gift for melody and a strong penchant for poetry.” Of her talent, Tina says,“I feel like a songwriter more than a singer. It’s my way of dealing with things and finding shelves for all my thoughts and experiences. So I can’t really imagine life without it!”
