Oprah Winfrey's Home Evacuated Due to Wildfires

Oprah Winfrey's Home Evacuated Due to Wildfires
Oprah Winfrey's Montecito home is being evacuated after the Southern California wildfires have come within a few miles of her coastal ranch, a source tells Usmagazine.com.The source tells Us that movers arrived at the talk show host's $50 million mansion, which is located just outside of Santa Barbara, and have been packing her belongings to prepare for the evacuation as the blaze continues to spread.

Winfrey was not at the house on Friday, as she was taping The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago."The fires are nearby, but her house is not within the mandatory evacuation area," A rep for Winfrey tells Us. "We're continuing to monitor."Downtown Montecito is currently "under warning," Michelle Phillips, an employee at the Jesusita Fire County Emergency Call Center tells Us.

"Residents should be ready to evacuate their homes at a moment's notice," Phillips says, adding that evacuation is mandatory at this point. "The [distance of the fire] can change very quickly, which is why residents are strongly advised to evacuate now while they still can."Dry air and high winds have frustrated efforts to control the wildfire, which began Tuesday and has driven more than 30,500 people from their homes on the edge of Santa Barbara. It has cost more than $2.6 million to battle, according to Bloomberg.com. Only 10 percent of the fire is contained and that it has damaged 75 homes so far.

Oprah Winfrey Fat Again

Oprah Winfrey Fat Again
Oprah is complaining again about her weight. It seems she’s gained 40 pounds recently (again). You can read more about it below, see recent photos and watch a video. And hey, it won’t cost you one calorie to do it!Well she’s done it again - no, not Britney, Oprah.Oprah Winfrey says in 2006, she weighed 160 pounds, but now has gained 40 pounds causing her to weigh in at a hefty 200 pounds! And now she says she is mad at herself for letting herself gain the weight yet again. She says she feels like a ‘fat cow!’

Here’s what Oprah has to say in a recent interview:“I’m embarrassed … I can’t believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I’m still talking about my weight. I look at my thinner self and think, ‘How did I let this happen again?’ “Some people might call it a lack of self-control but Oprah thinks one of the problems is her thyroid. (I am holding my tongue. Really.) It seems her thyroid was ‘out-of-balance’ which gave her ‘a fear of working out.’

Back in 1988, she memorably shed 67 pounds to slip into some skinny jeans on national TV. She admits that to be able to do that, she literally starved herself for 4 months on a liquid-protein diet without a morsel of food. Two days after that famous show, her skinny jeans didn’t fit anymore because she had started eating again.

Off and on over the years, her show has been built around her weight. Now, it will be the focus again for upcoming health shows in January with the catalyst being Barack Obama’s inaugural ball and squeezing that figure into something quite special. You can read more about her newest weight loss plans in the new issue of O which will be on newsstands December 16th.

Brad Pitt Appears On Oprah

Brad Pitt &Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt sat down with talk show diva Oprah Winfrey and discussed life with six kids and leading lady Angelina Jolie. In his first interview with Mama O since his 2005 break up with Jennifer Aniston, who happens to be a friend of Oprah’s, Brad Pitt opened up about his personal life. The interview was described as slightly awkward at times, with commerical breaks filled with awkward silences where Pitt fidgeted often. Oprah brought up Angelina Jolie and told Pitt that Angie was the love of his life. When asked if this is the happiest he’s ever been, Pitt replied “Dare I say,” to which Oprah said “dare I see.”

When Oprah asked if Pitt and Jolie saw more children in their future, he said:“Probably. It’s [parenthood] the greatest endeavor I’ve ever taken on. Why stop now?”He did admit that while his kids are the “funniest people,” he can only handle being alone with four of them at a time. He revealed that Shiloh is in a Peter Pan stage and will only respond to the names “John” and “Peter,” and he told a story about Pax rebelling against a timeout by peeing in the chair. And here we all thought the Jolie-Pitt children were perfect angels.

Oprah also brought out the W magazine that Angelina Jolie recently graced the cover of. He said he did the photos as a way to promote his movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and stated that, while most of Angie’s photo shoots portray her as a femme fatale, she is actually “very sweet.”

Oprah Palin Interview

Oprah Winfrey
Sarah Palin has turned into an overnight sensation, becoming a historic figure as the first woman ever nominated by Republicans to be the Vice Presidential candidate. With Palin’s popularity growing and the nation’s curiosity rising, many people would think that talk show hosts everywhere are fighting to get an interview with her. Not Oprah. Despite thousands of fans requesting the iconic talk show host have Govenor Palin as a guest, Oprah has firmly said no.

According to reports, there will not be an Oprah/Palin interview as Oprah, a huge Barack Obama supporter, is refusing to have Palin on her show. The Oprah staff is said to be divided over the situation, and an executive close to Oprah warned that a Sarah Palin ban may be bad for ratings.According to a poll from Rasmussen Reports, Governor Palin is now more popular than Democratic rock star, Obama. It would seem if Oprah gave both sides a chance, the ratings would reward her.

According to TMZ, Winfrey issued this statement regarding an interview with Governor Palin;“The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this presidential campaign, when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

Tom Cruise Returns To “Oprah Winfrey Show”

Tom Cruise Returns To “Oprah Winfrey Show”
Sweeps are coming and Oprah might have the best show slated. Tom Cruise returns to the “Oprah Winfrey Show” for the first time since the “couch jumping” incident. It will be aired in two parts, celebrating “Cruise’s career since his breakout role 25 years ago in Risky Business.” Insert joke here. The two part show will consist of Tom showing Oprah around his home in Telluride airing on May 2 and then on May 5, Tom will be in-studio for a live audience segment. There will also be appearances from many Hollywood A-listers.

“Tom will be doing the Oprah show,” Cruise’s rep Julie Polkes tells PEOPLE. “He is really looking forward to it.”His last memorable appearance occurred on June 23, 2005.He came on to promote “War of the Worlds” and left with the everyone wondering if he was certifiable.

Sandra Bullock Appears On Oprah Show

Sandra Bullock Appears On Oprah Show
In celebration of Earth Day, Oprah’s show today featured guests like Julia Roberts, who discussed the top 5 green foods for your kitchen, and Al Gore, who discussed his eco-campaign. But the biggest hit of the television show was Sandra Bullock, who talked about growing up green and her clean burning soy Bessence candles.

Sandra has always been environmentally conscious because her mother raised her that way. As a kid, she ate macrobiotic foods and wore clothes made without dyes and chemicals. Now Sandra uses those same lessons in the restaurant that she owns; for instance, the to go containers are made of sugarcane instead of styrofoam, paper or plastic. How’s that for biodegradable. Of making the extra effort, Sandra says,
“It’s just a few cents. I think we’re absolutely worth it—those few extra pennies [help] to make sure that we have a beautiful earth.”

But the biggest hit of Sandra’s presentation were her candles. After finding out that there were a lot of chemicals in the candles in her home, Sandra started her own line of soy-based candles with lead-free wicks and all organic, recycled packaging. She calls the line Bessence Candles

Oprah’s Big Give Winner Announced

Oprah’s Big Give Winner
Spoiler alert!! The season finale of “Oprah’s Big Give” is tonight on ABC at 8 p.m. EST, and we’ll finally have a winner chosen. The three finalists are Brandi Milloy, Stephen Paletta, and Cameron Johnson. The premise of the show is to take the ten contestants and challenge them to change the lives of others by giving. At the end of each episode the participants are judged on their creativity, accomplishments, leadership, and presentation. What the contestants don’t know is that they’re also competing for a $1 million prize of their own.

The show has had celebrity participants all the way through, and tonight on the season finale Jennifer Aniston makes her guest appearance. The producers have been touting a “big secret” that Jen reveals, and my guess is that she gets to drop the $1million bomb on the final three. The challenge for tonight’s show is that the contestants are given no money and little time to make a difference.

Cameron, Steve and Brandi decide to make their last big give a donation to the Chicago Hope Academy. Cameron and Brandi aren’t too excited that Steve is using his own connections, and then Steve steals the spotlight from the group in announcing a show by the Blue Man Group … even though it was Cameron who was able to get the guys to perform and get a $100,000 donation.Brandi and Cameron have left Steve to handle the Blue Man Group on his own … without telling him. Steve is a little embarrassed that Cameron got this donation and then didn’t even show up. Traffic sucks in Chicago apparently. Right now Steve looks like he’s in the lead, but there’s a lot of show left.

Brandi finally pulls something off. She set up a once a month cooking class at Shriner’s Hospital and Cameron’s $10,000 went to toys, books, and movies for the kids. They’re back in the studio for the judges’ decision. But first it’s Jennifer Aniston’s turn to give. Every participant on the show received $30,000 just for competing, and they had no idea. Here we go! And the winner is … Stephen Paletta!! Brandi and Cameron each received $100,000 and Stephen got $500,000 for himself and $500,000 to give to others.
