THE DEAL The 13th edition of "The Bachelor" stars Jason Mesnick, rejected when he proposed in July to the most recent "Bachelorette," DeAnna Pappas (although it appears that Pappas has now split from her pick, snowboarder Jason Csincsak). Mesnick, 32, is an account executive from Seattle and the divorced father of a 3-year-old son, Tyler.
THE TWIST Four of the 25 bachelorettes will be single moms.TONIGHT Among the women you'll be introduced to are: schoolteacher Sharon, who quit her job to be on the show; jewelry designer Renee, who's mapped out her and Jason's future on a "vision board"; and interior designer Jillian, who thinks she can discover all she needs to by finding out what condiments Jason likes on his hot dogs.With "The Bachelor" set to premiere Monday on ABC with a two-hour special starting at 8 p.m., Mesnick will have to get used to the new normal.Mesnick, 32, who grew up in the area and graduated from the University of Washington, sat down for breakfast at Trellis in Kirkland to talk about the show shortly after filming "The Bachelor" finale.
