But when a certain two-time winner got on the line, it was time for some hard-core hazing."George Clooney rang me at two in the morning," Jackman told PEOPLE Monday at the Australia premiere in New York City. "I was half asleep and I said to him, 'Ah, George sweetie, good to hear from you.' "

“I can tell this because the edges on the bottom are not straight in the earlier photo,” Dr. Abenaim tells Star. “When you grind your teeth, they get shorter. To restore the original look, the dentist has to lengthen teeth with porcelain veneers or crowns,” says Dr. Abenaim.In addition to veneers, he thinks George had a “smile lift,” a surgical procedure usually done with a laser that brings the gum up to expose more tooth. Though the cost of all this dental work likely set George back $30,000 to $35,000, Dr. Abenaim thinks it was well worth it.”

The annual gala for the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Gala for the opening of the exhibition “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” took place Monday night. It was a star studded even with a range of celebrities including Julia Roberts, Anna Wintour, George Clooney, Sarah Larson, Mischa Barton, Gisele Bundchen, TomKat, Eva Longoria minus hubby Tony Parker. Jennifer Lopez was all glammed up looking fabulous just two months after giving birth!

The gowns were amazing. Some celebrities rocked amazing, unique styles, while others, like Sarah Michelle Gellar played it safe in a simple black gown. Anan Wintour wore a one of a kind Chanel gown and Diane Kruger rocked it in a silver cocktail dress with pink Christian Louboutins.

George Clooney Named U.N. Messenger of Peace

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon named actor George Clooney, who has campaigned for refugees in Darfur, as a U.N. "messenger of peace" on Friday to promote the world body's peacekeeping efforts.Clooney is the ninth U.N. messenger -- people chosen from the fields of art, music, literature and sports who have agreed to help focus attention on the United Nations' work.

U.N. spokeswoman Michele Montas said Clooney would have a special emphasis on peacekeeping. She said he had been "recognized for focusing public attention on crucial international political and social issues."Clooney, who is currently in Sudan, will receive his designation on January 31 at U.N. headquarters.With fellow actors Don Cheadle and Brad Pitt, Clooney, 46, has used his celebrity status to raise money for refugees through their "Not On Our Watch" charity and draw attention to the crisis in Darfur in western Sudan.

Clooney has starred in a number of films with political themes and won an Oscar in 2005 for his role in "Syriana."The other U.N. messengers of peace are actor Michael Douglas, musicians Daniel Barenboim, Midori Goto and Yo-Yo Ma, authors Paulo Coelho and Elie Wiesel, naturalist Jane Goodall and Olympic equestrian Princess Haya of Jordan.
