Cloris Leachman Wears Lettuce Leaves For New PETA Ad

Cloris Leachman is officially the Poster Girl (or Poster Grandma) for vegetarianism. Wearing a gown made of leafy greens and red cabbage, the 82-year-old Oscar-winner will unveil her new pro-vegetarian PETA PSA in Times Square later today.

PETA says Cloris is an example of how gracefully humans age once the omit meat from their daily diet. Cloris agrees, the Dancing With The Stars alum became a vegetarian nearly 50 years ago and as she says, “I felt a million times better, and I’ve never had a bite of meat ever since then.”Cloris Leachman will release her tell-all autobiography, Cloris,–revealing liasons with Gene Hackman and other Hollywood notables of yesteryear–in April.

Cloris Leachman Rocks at Roast of Bob Saget

Last night's Roast of Bob Saget on Comedy Central featured various comics and one special guest, Cloris Leachman, the only A-listed person on the stage.Leachman's appearance at Comedy Central's roast of Bob Saget, who played the single dad on "Full House," enervated the entire affair.Saget's blue comedy stand up routine and segment in the movie, "Aristocrats" doused his squeaky "Funniest Video" clean image.Oscar winner and star of so many iconic TV shows and films, Leachman smiled and took it all in stride as each D-Listed comic took his pot-shot at her age and mental faculties.She had the last laugh.

Cloris Leachman To Appear On Dancing with the Stars

Seems like the Dancing with the Stars news is coming fast and furious these days (it must be August). Yesterday Allison told you about Dan Marino not doing the show, and the day before that I told you that Dan Marino was going to do the show. Football players...can't make up their minds (see also Favre, Brett).

Now comes another name thrown into the mix: Tom Selleck! That's the latest rumor for the show. In fact, it's gone beyond the rumor stage and supposedly (emphasis on "supposedly") Selleck has already accepted the gig. Part of me wants to say "don't do it Tom!" but the show really does need an injection of real star power (if the names leaked this week really are accurate, though we know that they got Marino wrong).In other DWTS news, TMZ is reporting that 82 year-old actress Cloris Leachman was going to do the show, but they said no in favor of Toni Braxton instead. Leachman has wanted to be on the show for a couple of seasons. That's too bad. She seems like an in-shape, feisty lady. I bet she would have done well.
