Sarah Palin Attacks Obama In Speech

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin defended herself against criticism that she's inexperienced, saying she carried a bigger load as a small- town mayor than Democrat Barack Obama ever has.``Since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves,'' Palin, 44, said tonight at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. ``I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a `community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities.''

Obama, 47, a first-term Illinois senator, has held up his work as a community organizer in Chicago as part of a record that he said shows his ability to lead. Palin, now the governor of Alaska, took aim at that approach and showcased in her first address to a nationwide audience the issues she and presidential hopeful John McCain will tackle.Palin is seeking to dispel questions about her qualifications and self-described status as a reformer that have swirled since she became McCain's running mate on Aug. 29. Palin is also trying to move past the attention drawn by the disclosure that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is pregnant.

Fred Thompson Attacks Barack Obama, Hails John McCain

Former Law and Order Actor Fred Thompson said of Obama: What has he done besides give "a teleprompter speech designed to appeal to America's critics abroad?" It brought the greatest applause and some stood.Thompson said Obama was the most inexperienced candidate ever, or something like that.Obama is refusing to fight back on the inexperience ground. He needs to get out there and hit hard. They are not just the radical right and wrong on the issues, 1/2 of their ticket, by any standard, lacks even a modicum of the skills and experience necessary to lead the country if need be.Since Obama's unlikely to do that, the MSM and blogs will have to do it for him.

Defending Governor Sarah Palin, John McCain’s vice-presidential running mate, from a storm of criticism by Democrats, Fred Thomson brought cheering Republicans to their feet life as he hailed her as a “breath of fresh air”.The former Tennessee senator gave Republican activists the red meat rhetoric they had been waiting for by lashing the liberal media, branding Democrats as elitists and holding up Mrs Palin, 44, as the beacon of ordinary American values.“She is from a small town, with small town values, but that's not good enough for those folks who are attacking her and her family,” he said.Mr Thompson also mocked Mr Obama for giving “a teleprompter speech designed to appeal to American critics abroad”, a reference to his speech before 200,000 Germans in Berlin”.

Sally Quinn Advised Palin to “Stay in the Nursery”

Allow me to turn to a national voice on these matters, Sally Quinn, at the Newsweek/Washington Post site, "On Faith."From what little we know about her, [Palin] seems to be a bright, attractive, impressive person. She certainly has been successful in her 44 years. But is she ready to be president?

And now we learn the 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is pregnant. She and the father of the child plan to marry. This may be a hard one for the Republican conservative family-values crowd to swallow. Of course, this can happen in any family. But it must certainly raise the question among the evangelical base about whether Sarah Palin has been enough of a hands-on mother.But in fact, that awful "evangelical base" is not the least bit offended. Why should they be? Bristol Palin is having her baby, and a marriage with the biological father is in the works. That's a success story. It is only Ms. Quinn who sees something wrong.

Levi Johnston Is Bristol Palin’s Baby Daddy

Levi Johnston has been named as the father of the baby that Bristol Palin is carrying.Bristol Palin is Sarah Palin's daughter was revealed to be pregnant on Monday after a weekend full of rumors and attacks from Democrats that made all sorts of wild accusations about the Bristol and Sarah Palin. Now we know Bristol is pregnant and Levi Johnston is the father.Sarah is the current Governor of Alaska and was named John McCain's running mate on Friday. Her announcement brought all sorts of excitement for the McCain campaign and he has raised $10 million since the announcement.

Gawker is claiming that the National Enquirer has named the 18-year old man and he is a good looking young man named Levi Johnston. The New York Daily News has also named him as well and they have photos here of the hockey player and his fiancée and his young "Hockey Mom" to be.The left is trying to figure out how exactly to attack Sarah Palin and settled in on going after her 17-year old daughter over the weekend with horrific allegations of a faked pregnancy by her mom. It was a disgusting display and the campaign says that is one of the reasons they came forward with the pregnancy announcement today.

Bristol Palin Daughter of Sarah Palin Is Pregnant

Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old daughter of Republican Vice-Presidential pick Sarah Palin, is pregnant!Bristol Palin’s parents, Sarah and Todd Palin, issued the following statement this morning:“Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support. Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates.”

Bristol is due in late December, and plans on marrying her boyfriend, Levi, the father of her unborn child.The announcement of Bristol being pregnant was in response to quell the rumors that Bristol was actually the mother of Trig Palin, the 5-month-old son of Sarah and Todd Palin.Senator McCain was made aware of Bristol’s pregnancy before he chose Sarah Palin as his Vice-Presidential nominee last week.Barack Obama was asked about 17-year-old Bristol’s pregnancy, and he told reporters to “back off” this story and children are “off limits”.“It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as governor, or her potential performance as a vice president.”So fine, the story is out, and we need to move on. Is this really going to have a bearing on how you will vote?

Bristol Palin is Sarah Palin’s Daughter

Rumors are flying that Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s teen-age daughter, is the real mother of 5-month old Trig Palin. Did Sarah Palin invent an elaborate cover-up to keep her daughter’s pregnancy out of the public eye?So, is Trig really Sarah Palin’s baby, or is he her grandson? People are asking that question and are pushing for an answer. Most of the questions center around the fact that Sarah Palin didn’t announce her pregnancy until a few weeks before she gave birth. Photos of her teen-age daughter, Bristol (above right), late in 2007 show Bristol with a rounded tummy. The story is further complicated in that Bristol was taken out of school this past year for up to five months because of a bad case of mono.

What do you think? I doubt that someone as politically savvy as Sarah Palin would be so naive as to believe she could keep such a monumental cover-up secret while running as VP of the USA. And why would she attempt the cover-up to begin with? Teenage pregnancies are a rather common fact of life in modern society. The “shame and disgrace” that people felt years ago are mostly nonexistent these days. I hope the Palin’s will provide proof that Trig is their own quickly in order to counter these rumors. And, if the rumors are true, then handle them immediately in order to end all the speculating.
