Mark L. Wahlberg Is Moment of Truth
Have you ever forced yourself to throw up? Did you ever think your spouse might be gay? Do fat people repulse you?Contestants hooked up to a lie detector will face such questions on Fox's "The Moment of Truth," a game show so controversial that a Colombian version was shelved after a woman there revealed she put a hit out on her husband. The real question is: Just how far will the American edition go?To win the $500,000 grand prize, such folks must truthfully answer 21 questions about themselves in front of their family, friends, co-workers, an audience and everyone at home who sticks around to watch after "American Idol." (The show debuts 9 p.m. EST Wednesday.) Like "Millionaire" and "Deal or No Deal," contestants can walk away with less money at six different levels in the game.“Moment of Truth”, hosted by Mark L. Wahlberg, premiered tonight, January 23, 2008, on FOX.
Mark L. Wahlberg was born on August 31, 1962 in Florence, South Carolina, so his age is 45. The “L” stands for Lewis. In 1987, he married Robbi Morgan, an actress mostly working during the 1980s. Together they have two children.Mark began hosting in 1991 with television’s “Shop ‘Til You Drop”. From there he has hosted many shows, including “The Big Date”, “Temptation Island”, “Antiques Roadshow”, and “Joe Millionaire”.On the celebrity edition of “Weakest Link”, he beat Mario Lopez in the final two to take the whole thing. Wahlberg has also played in the World Poker Tour.Wahlberg’s biggest-hyped show to date is probably his latest, “The Moment of Truth”. He swears it’s not just a venue for public humiliation. He even says that some people are grateful for the opportunity to come clean about some possibly dark secrets from their past. Tonight on the show I heard a man admit to checking out other men’s “privates” in the public shower. Now that’s quality television.
