No ghosts On The Set of 'Medium' Says Arquette
While her show dives into the world of murder and the paranormal, actress Patricia Arquette tells CTV.ca that she isn't around when things get intense."I do hear from the crew that it disturbs them" says Arquette. Arquette plays the role of real life psychic Allison Dubois, an investigator haunted by foreshadowing dreams and conversations with the dead.
Creepiness abounds in the season premiere when Dubois is haunted by visions of a mysterious little boy."I'm not around when they shoot the grizzly scenes," says Arquette, and notes that "nothings happens" of the paranormal variety on-set. It's a different situation, according to Arquette, who says there some strange activity going on when she shot "Stigmata," a film where the actress played a woman who displays the wounds of crucifixion.
Arquette has been nominated for numerous awards for her role on "Medium," including an Emmy in 2005. She's currently nominated for a Golden Globe for lead actress in a dramatic series.Season four picks up where the previous season left off, when Allison finds herself banished from her job with the District Attorney when her psychic abilities were made public. Her husband (Jake Weber) also finds himself out of work and their family deals with financial hardship. With no where else to turn, Allison accepts the help of a private investigator, played by special guest star Anjelica Huston.
