Meanwhile, Gisele is sitting on his LeBron’s lap having the time of her life, no Tom Brady in sight. The magazine’s big article is the secrets of the best bodies, male and female.

But the story with this cover is the controversy it’s causing. Some critics are saying that the cover photo perpetuates racial stereotypes, as LeBron resembles King Kong and Gisele looks a little Fay Wray. Magazine analyst Samir Husni says,“When you have a cover that reminds people of King Kong and brings those stereotypes to the front, black man wanting white woman, it’s not innocent.”

Another viewer says, “It conjures up this idea of a dangerous black man.” But Vogue’s spokesman, Patrick O’Connell says the magazine “sought to celebrate two superstars at the top of their game.” Annie Liebovitz shot the cover photos and the photo spread inside.LeBron is only the third man to grace the cover of Vogue … ever.
