British soccer player Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin had a secret wedding this past weekend.Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin have been engaged since 2003. Coleen was just 17 years old when Wayne proposed with a $90,000 diamond engagement ring. The two are now one of the UK’s most sought after couples, so it is no surprise that they opted for a lavish Italian wedding, which was kept a secret. Rooney and McLoughlin’s wedding ceremony took place in Villa Durazzo, which has breathtaking views over the Italian Rivera. The reception was held in a 700-year-old former abby, La Cervara, and Coleen’s favorite band, Westlife was the musical entertainment.

McLoughlin’s dress was a custom made, stunning gown designed by British designer Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa label. Complete with the most lavish fabric and hand-stitched pearls, Coleen was a vision.The bride reportedly spent $170,000 alone on trips to New York for wedding dress fittings.

The day was perfect and no one had a worry in the world, including Wayne & Coleen’s guests. Their 64 guests were flown from the UK in five private jets, where upon arrival in Italy, they then began the 4-day celebration. Sparing no expense, guests were treated to a private lunch upon a yacht, a masked ball, and champagne breakfast.The grand total for Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin’s wedding is about $10 million. They will reportedly make about $5 million of that back with the sale of their wedding photos to OK! Magazine.
