Tennis ace Chris Evert and golfing star Greg Norman married this weekend in a lavish ?500,000 wedding in the Bahamas.The sports stars, both 53, exchanged vows in front of about 140 guests as dusk fell on the paradise island.They had picked 14th century ruin The Cloisters for the event which provided a spectacular backdrop decked out with sumptuous arrangements of white flowers.Evert looked stunning in a simple white strapless dress with a flowing train.

Her sons Alex, 16, and Nicky, 14, walked her down the aisle, and her youngest, Colton, was ringbearer.Norman's son Gregory Jr, 21, was best man, and his daughter Morgan, 23, was also there.'They wanted a romantic wedding,' event planner Mary Fanizzi Krystoff told People magazine.'They wanted their friends and family to enjoy a wonderful weekend together.'

The wedding was held at the Blue Shark Golf Course in the Bahamas, with a reception at the exclusive One and Only Ocean Club Hotel, where some rooms cost more than ?5,000-a-night.The island resort was a setting for the latest James Bond film ‘Casino Royale’.The wedding is love match number three for 18-times grand slam winner Evert. She first captured the public’s imagination in the 1970s for her romance with the top men’s player Jimmy Connors, particularly after they both won the singles titles at Wimbledon in 1974.
